This is a new one for me. I’ve never had a Negroni. I watched a video on a Negroni by one of my favorite bartenders Anders. he gave some points on taste, and hearing it is on the bitter side, I thought it would be something I would enjoy. And I do, I like the aroma of the gin and bitterness of the Campari. Campari is also another ingredient I have yet to try. A few on the board, with their Friday Cocktails have helped me pick up a few more items that open up these cocktail choices for me! Attjack Old Glory

Anders is great. I also like Educated Barfly. I really like Negronis. I make them with Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth and Botanist Gin. Will have to try the 2:1:1 ratio. More booze can't hurt...lol.

I was inspired by Anders Gimlet Video and came up with this

      Yeat!
2 oz Gin I used Botanist
      .5 oz Campari
      .5 oz Simple Syrup
      .5 oz lime

Mix, shake with ice, strain into Nick and Nora. Garnish with lime twist. Was very tasty.

Old Glory - that looks good too! I’ll give that a try soon! Thanks for sharing - and also, I do like Educated Barfly as well! He puts out good content!

I’m drinking Mango Carts and the wife made some margaritas to go with the carnitas tonight.

Margaritas. Simple recipe, with a riff on the salted rim. Sugar, salt and lime zest zapped in spice grinder. Super fun! ‘Rita made with Hornitos because it was cheap enough to cook with and works with a house margarita.

I’m patiently waiting for Attjack to post his friday cocktail list…so, as I wait… a Perfect Margarita for my wonderful better half….and a 1921 Añejo Old Fashioned for me.

the Perfect Margarita - perfect, because she likes olives…

SheilaAnn - no, of course not!

I put TWO olives in a margarita!!!

Years ago…Apple Bees made a Perfect Margarita, so this is my spin on that. It’s my normal margarita recipe with just two olives in it. She loves those dang olives!

I’m enjoying the Bacardi 10 year (far better than their 8), it really is a good rum, sips more like a whiskey, and my wife is joining in with a Plantation Isle Figi, so, there is only one distillery in Figi, so, it is definitely rum purchased by plantation and they made their own mix. Currently I really enjoy the Figi as well.
