Who was it stollen from? :-)

      A bit of Tennessee coffee.
It’s 0600 and I just got home from work. Just closed out a very very rough holiday season at work and Im off till next year. All told I worked 32 of 34 days totaling 427 hours which I think earned me a nice hot cup of STRONG coffee.

A Blanc de Blanc made from 100% Chardonnay by a local winery in the Yadkin Valley. I’m always impressed by the quality of wines made by this French style winery in out neck of the woods.

              That’s a meal right there.

A not so great pic of a very nice white ale from Sam Adams.

I’d never had one until this year., compliments of my son, who left them after the Christmas shindig.

Cup of hot coffee while taking down the Christmas lights and running a Rib Roast on a kettle.

A special Guatemalan Rum given to us by good friends from Guatemala. It’s a blend of rums with ages ranging from 5-23 years. The foreground dessert is a slice of opera cake from a local French-style patisserie.

Yum! I’ve been staring at that rum online, how was it? The Opera cake looks very decadent.

Richard Chrz My wife really enjoyed the rum and said it was smooth. I, on the other hand, thought it was still pretty harsh, like many bourbons, whiskies and rums. My standard for smoothness is pretty lame so you might enjoy it. The patisserie is owned and run by a couple, both of whom attended Le Cordon Bleu, but met while working in a wal-mart. Go figure. Personally, I think they make world-class goods there, certainly as good as Christophe’s in Charleston, SC.

Sippin a little Jim Beam while smelling the smoke from a barrel.

I like GD, I think it is a great whiskey for its attractive price range.

Killed off the Jim Beam just in time. This will be my last drink till St Patty's day at least.
3 years ago I lost 100 lbs and in the last 6 months put 50 back on so back to moderation and mindfulness until I see 199 again.

I hear you. I quit drinking in early April because my weight had ballooned and a bunch of other health issues came with it. I’m down about 60 pounds now. Saw my Dr. Last week and while he is please, he wants me to keep going. A long way to go by his reckoning. I really miss having a few beers out by the smoker and bourbons after enjoying the results from the cook. Really miss it. 😕. Good luck.

                Good morning AR
