I got some freshly pressed apple cider from Hillcrest Orchard today so I had to make this drink this evening.

          8 oz Apple Cider
          4 oz Bourbon
          1 oz Maple Syrup
          1 oz Lemon Juice

          This makes 2 drinks.

Whiskeyman53 what thermometer are you using in the lid? I may have mentioned, I have the same blue weber. ā€œCubs Blueā€

I call it Mr. Cub. BF calls it Ernie. But today, I want to name it Carson Kelly!!! Woot!

SheilaAnn, it’s the thermometer that I attached to the lid of the replaced kettle. Funny thing is that my kettle is black however the dome was damaged when delivered. Weber was great and without any questions replaced it . The replacement is blue but I think it looks great with the black kettle.

Discovered a new cocktail. A Too Soon. Very tasty. Of course I double the recipe. Muddle the orange and then add everything and shake and strain.

JCBBQ got it, thanks. We carry this liqueur at work that has an aloe base. Mixed with seltzer and a squeeze of lime and it’s delicious! Cynar does not sound good to me, though.

SheilaAnn yeah alot of those amaros (amari?) don't do it for me without being in a cocktail. And some are just an aquired taste. I didn't used to be a fan of Campari but I've loved it for years now.

Mmmm. Had some leftover peach puree that I made for ice cream. Made a Peach Bourbon Smash. Desperately hanging on to summer. šŸ™‚

                  That’s a really beautiful drink!

A quick Painkiller while I contemplate some outdoor electrical work. Nothing major, just an outlet fix and an additional GFCI.
Clearly mine lacked the garnish…didn’t have either to hand. What the..? >:-/ No matter, it is still tasty.

                • Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
                • Pour into a big glass or goblet filled with ice. Grate fresh nutmeg on top.

                • Be careful–this is a smooth and sneaky drink. Enjoy!
