How do you pronounce the name?
        I have some theories...

        🤭

Tonight's an Old Fashioned night, with Wild Turkey 101 Rye. Outta cherries, but I'll get by.

Wild Turkey 101 rye is fantastic, one of my favorite go to rye whiskeys .

Had some good friends over tonight and gave a few things a try.

Rittenhouse Rye Old Fashioned - really enjoy the Rittenhouse for the Old Fashioned
Lazy River Old Fashioned - Lazy River was good, but I think the Rittenhouse Rye blends better
Sazerac Rye neat - good, enjoyed it but think it will blend better as an Old Fashioned.

And to finish the night, Rittenhouse Old Fashioned with a good cherry, not luxardo as TW was out, so bought the next best. This is a way to finish the night off!

Does Rittenhouse have a bourbon? I've only ever known their rye. And it is fantastic for being a tasty 100 proof for the price!

Huskee - my bad on that. This was the Rye, even though i mention bourbon above. I’ll fix that, as I read it, makes it seem as if I used a bourbon vs. rye.

last night was fun to try two types, and see how the flavor was different. Really enjoyed the rye flavor here.

I wondered if they came out with a new one. I'm with you. Both good, but I lean toward a 100pr+ rye in mixed drinks.

Picked up a few bottles that will be new to my selection. Have read about both, and started with the 10yr RR because of the price point compared to the RR Single Barrel, Barrel Select.

Also, happy to find a 12 year KC - I don’t recall seeing this before, but could be that I wasn’t looking. Will report back on both.

Also, going to be getting a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed, actually found both Bourbon and Rye. Probably will pick up the Bourbon bottle later this week.

I am a big fan of Knob Creek especially their single barrel 120 proof. Curios how the 12 year is.

Whiskeyman53 - I’ll report back when I crack it open. I saw a bottle of the 120 SB this weekend I believe, should have picked it up. Maybe it will be there next trip.

First sip of the year. Trying something new. Beautiful

CHNeal it’s REALLY good. I think it was $62. I’ll definitely buy more.

      An excellent local beer.

Excellent! I bought the rye variety yesterday, along with the Rare Breed, which I’m now sipping and enjoying!

Blackbird Contrarian. One of the best 'mostly' cabernets I've ever tasted. But you'll pay for it.

A little too early in California right now.

The wife and I had a great day out and about - no agenda, just drive and stop where we find something interesting. Stopped by a local coffee shop then off to lunch at a spot called The Sawmill Market, full of food spots and a few beverage options. We went with cocktails . Martinez for me, Margarita for my wife.

then off to a liquor store where I picked up Cynar so I can make a few of the cocktails our local cocktail expert Attjack lists for us on Fridays! Also some tequila for the wife so I could make a margarita. We also stopped at the local meat shop for some excellent beef options and then another spot for some bourbon…and this is what we are now drinking

Bonarda Malbec blend. This wine is fair trade from a co-op of several hundred growers, etc. I looked up bonarda and apparently this grape is the new “it girl” of Malbec-style grapes. Well, it’s delicious.

Attjack you can only get it at Co-opportunity in culver city or Santa Monica. I can’t confirm Santa Monica, since I have only shopped at CC. And since I am co-op, that’s how I know 🙌🏼 it’s a co-op thing
