I know this is going to be like asking for the moon, but if anyone has a beat on a bottle of Weller CYPB, let me know. This most likely isn’t going to be cheap for me to find, but it’s the last bottle of the six Weller that I need. I’ve been able to pick up Special Reserve, 12yr, Full Proof, OWA, and Single Barrel over the last year (all at MSRP as well!) and I’m waiting to crack them until I complete the set.
But thought I would through it out there, just in case. Thanks all!
Have not seen that. I will ask BIL. barelfly yes he mentioned it to me a cpl weeks ago.
I declined to stand in line so as to save $$ for Christmas presents. He said yes, very rare.
Sorry Bro.

Thank you Alan Brice - much appreciated. I know it’s a unicorn. May have to go the auction route. Not sure if I’ll get lucky enough through the Total Wine draws to get this. Thanks again!
I've wondered about that one...but I'm not a huge fan of Willett so have hesitated to pull the trigger especially after trying the latest Kentucky Spirit. I was not impressed.

Alan Brice Agreed. The wife is a huge Lucy fan and has an entire room dedicated to her. That's where we keep our bar, hence the reason for Lucy stuff in some of my posts..

Picked up the 12yr bottle this weekend in a trade. As I mentioned recently, just need the Weller CYPB, but pretty cool to see these lined up together. Hopefully I’ll find that CYPB at some point. Until then, these stay sealed up!
Alan Brice - that is my plan. Get the CYPB and then open all for a blind taste test. I’ve had all but the SB in the past. I’ve also not had the CYPB, so that will a first. I had both the FP and 12yr when I was in Kauai last fall. And it’s been a bit since I’ve had the 107, so all will be pretty “new” when I decide to open.
It's been some time since I poured a dram of Parkers Heritage . This has been opened for about 6 months now and has developed great characteristics. Nice high ABV for a cold night.
Nice bottle! And…I’m not a hockey fan, just where I live it wasn’t and isn’t big here in NM. But, over time, especially when playoffs start, hockey is so fun to watch! I’ve been to a few games and it’s a great time! Pretty cool to see a hat trick!
Picked this up at the liquor store at my Giant Eagle after work.
If you like Buffalo Trace and wished it were a touch sweeter and a bit smoother then you will like this. It’s like Buffalo Trace “light” with the flavors. At 90 proof it’s sips easy.
6 months into my bourbon journey these are the bottles I’ve acquired.
I also had a bottle of Maker’s Mark. It was alright. I used most of it to make vanilla extract a couple of months ago. I’ve yet to try it.
I’ve not tried the Elijah Craig yet. I just bought that bottle last night.
It’s my second bottle of the Knob Creek smoked maple and my second bottle of Buffalo Trace.
It’s my second bottle of Buffalo Trace because I have a couple of neighbors that like it.
So far my favorite pour over I’ve had has been the Knob Creek smoked maple. I enjoy the sweetness and smoothness of it. I also enjoy it this past fall mixed into apple cider with a squeeze of lemon.
I’ve also enjoyed the Bulleit because of its flavor. It seems to have more “spice” to it.
I do not care for bourbon neat. Maybe it’s because I have not tried the correct one yet.
My favorite drink with bourbon / whiskey is an Old fashioned along with the apple cider drink mentioned above.
Any suggestions on my next bottle would be greatly appreciated. Not trying to break the bank yet so anything under $60 would be the price point I’m looking for.
If you like Bulleit, try the Bulleit rye. If you like more spice, Old Grand-Dad bottled-in-bond, or WT101 Rye. Whenever possible, try it before you buy it. Good Luck!
