Which Mezcal? I carry several brands at work. Is that Sal de Gusano? Also good with an orange slice.

SheilaAnn oh jeez! I have no idea. I told the waiter to bring me his favorite. They had too many to choose from.

Another banger in Mexico City - Quintonil’s Negroni. Made w mezcal and mole. 🤯🤯🤯 This blew me away.

Yeah I probably should’ve asked more questions. But I was absolutely floored by the food so my attention was there. Waiter said it’s a special mole they make just for the drink. I could taste almonds, chocolate and a hint of spice. barelfly SheilaAnn

It's doesn't sound like a negroni to me, but it looks and sounds quite interesting, nonetheless.

Dang! ANOTHER great cocktail - Poncho Allende. Mezcal, licor XILA (caramelized pineapple and ancho chili liqueur), lemon juice, pineapple juice and guava puree. Very juicy and fresh. DE-lish!

            I need that glass! LOL

Decorating the Christmas tree today and dialing in the new espresso machine. This pull was the best of the shots I’ve pulled over the two days. balanced flavor and great crema in that cup!!

Finished up baking some Persimmon Cookies today, then got some pork chops ready to go on the SnS for dinner. As the grill is heating up, made myself a Manhattan …. 3 oz Knob Creek 9 year old Bourbon, 1 1/2 oz Carpano Antica Vermouth, 3 dashes Fee’s Orange Bitters, 1 Egbert Cocktail Cherry. Fill glass with ice to chill. Fill cocktail shaker half full of ice, add bourbon, vermouth, bitters. Stir for 30 seconds (do not shake). Dump ice out of glass, add cherry, pour manhattan through a strainer into glass. Sip. Enjoy.

It's cold, rainy and foggy up on the mountain today, so a fortified Hot Apple Cider hits the spot.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Go Cowboys and Salvation Army. The Turkey Day game will be another challenge, and it could be the most watched regular
season game ever in the history of the NFL. Time for Dak and the Boys to shine.

              Forgot to post holiday sips!

I gotta find some of that gin. Also, that looks like a nicely chilled nouveau - comme les Français 👍

I put it in the fridge about 30 minutes prior to service. I love this wine with a slight chill. Plus it’s dry enough to cut through rich gravy and buttery mashed!

I prefer Pinot noir with a turkey dinner, but it certainly is that Beaujolais time of year.
