Happy weekend to all you pitmasters here at AmazingRibs! šŸ”„šŸ–

May your fires burn steady, your smoke run thin and blue, and your ribs come out tender every single time. Hope you all get some great time by the pit, good food on the table, and maybe a cold one in hand.

Keep the smoke rolling and enjoy the weekend, my friends!

Ok boys and girls, this is fantastic. Scandinavian Sazerac. Pictured is 1.5x the recipe listed. Super boozy and delicious. I forgot how much I like Peychaud bitters. Must be the 6 years I lived in New Orleans ā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļø

Ok…I’m gonna need to try this one. I’ve not had a Sazerac in donkey’s years…and this one looks interesting.

Looks great! An Old Fashioned isn't an Old Fashioned without a Luxardo cherry...

This is a great bottle! And it was perfect to sip on while I was cooking up enchiladas tonight!

Well dang! I’m gonna have to make up for missing this over the weekend!!

Well sports fans, I went a little hog wild in NYC today. Went in to find a difficult to source bottle, and came back with 5! 😬😬😬

Two fabulous gins, two fruit distillates, and an awesome Mezcal. How do I know, you ask? Well I just had to sample them…of course.

And I swapped out the gin w the pineapple distillate (90 proof) and made an excellent Pineapple Negroni

JCBBQ what is the other thing in the mezcal? I see EspadĆn….

And let’s talk about that short bottle of gin!

SheilaAnn - 90% EspadĆn agave and 10% Barril agave. That short bottle of gin is great. The Mahòn though might be the best gin I’ve tried.

JCBBQ Aaahhh…. Barrel! When I expanded the picture, the label got too blurry. So the Manhón is really good huh? I will have to seek it out!

SheilaAnn here’re a couple close ups. Note the cork and the little bottle of ā€œbotanical saltsā€ Apparently ā€œProceraā€ is an African Juniper tree…that provides the flavor. You’re right, great looking bottle!

When y'all done drinkin' I want pictures/videos of the 3 legged race in burlap bags. šŸ˜‰

Didn’t post at the time… Doh!
Anyway…hanging out the the SO’s son. Couldn’t play golf because he hurt his foot. $€5@&^%!!

That’s a Samichlaus Doppelbock. At one time it was considered the world’s strongest non-distilled beer at 14%. For a long time it could only be found around November or so. I think once Sam Adams Utopias hit the market at ~29% they figured making it year round wasn’t a bad idea. LOL

And a Rocky Patel ā€œThe Edge.ā€ Good, but honestly, a little underwhelming. Didn’t seem to have the richness/fulness of some of the other Maduro cigars that I like. It’s a HUGE seller…but the price probably figures into that heavily.
I still have one more…so I’ll not pass final judgment just yet. ;-)

Tequila sour! Haven’t had one in ages. Going in the list. Thanks.

Thought this would an appropriate place to share this quote. Made me laugh.
