I was told by a previous GF's father, escaped Czechoslovakia in 37, that was The Original Budweiser. He was a Czech cabinet maker moved to Australia, then came to the USA thru Canada. I have a glass Budvar mug somewhere. He was Mr. Otmar (Otmarova) magical man!

Our good friend Mosca sent this great bottle of Rum to me for the Secret Santa exchange last year. I’ve sipped on it a few times but thought I’d make a Dark Daiquiri with it today and really like it! My 2:1 Demerara syrup matches up perfectly with the dark rum.

Mosca - I savor this! It will only be used for sipping or a good cocktail! No spritzers or rum and cokes!
And if you can’t get it living there, definitely going to savor this! Are you able to go to the distillery and purchase there, or are they not allowed to sell direct either?

I just looked it up; yes, they can sell direct. They’re in York, which is about 125 miles from us; I’ll be within 50 miles or so in early September.
I also just checked availability; the website says there are 7 bottles at my local store, the same place that they told me last week they didn’t have it. I think I’m going to order a couple bottles online, for store pickup, and see what happens.

I went to get beer and saw this in the cooler. I've had and enjoy their Torpedo IPA. So when I saw this version for the 1st time I had to give it a try. Souped up. If you don't like hoppy beer stay away. I've only had a couple of sips, so the 9.2 ABV hasn't kicked in yet. Here's a link is their info.
UPDATE: 9.2 ABV does make its mark. A really nice beer IMO.
This imperial hop collision fuses West Coast and Juicy IPAs, unleashing atomic flavors of lush fruit, citrus, and sticky pine. First released as a DIPA, we kicked Atomic Torpedo up from 8.2% to 9.2% ABV for bigger and bolder Imperial IPA intensity. Brace your taste buds: Damn the Torpedoes, Full Hops Ahead! Find 19.2-oz cans nationwide. 6-pks & 12-pks in select states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, HI, IA, MA, MD, ME, MN, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WV.Last edited by RichieB; July 22, 2024, 04:27 PM.

Absolute and tonic after a frustrating day with the computer, websites not working and a credit card company denying an online charge to a perfectly legitimate and known company originally denying saying it was fraud. Of course it wasn't but being on hold with them and the website. Then the online passport renewal form that wouldn't download back to the renewal website. After 8 attempts it worked. Needed to get my passport renewed so I could go to Texas for the Meat Up.
