Thanks, SheilaAnn I just got back home from the procedure. Everything came out ok (so to speak),.

There less painful alternatives. It too late now but Google it or ask your provider. I recently used SUPREP.

She wanted a cocktail that would lend itself to us transitioning to wine with dinner so I made a NY Sour.

That’s a bad-ass glass! Did the sour make the transition better?

WayneT still sipping the last of the sour. I'm about to go make fajitas so I'll open the Nobilotto momentarily. The glass is from Viski and I think it's a pretty good rocks glass. I like the art deco look.

Wow. That’s an obscure wine. Is that why you bought it? I enjoy finding and trying obscure wines. I tried to look up what grape varietals were in it to no avail. Any clues?

I bought based on the recommendation of the wine lady at a store nearby. I tend to like her recommendations. In this case, I went back and bought several bottles to cellar. The wife picked up that one when she was at the store for bell peppers so we didn't have to dip into our stash. This a blend of 8 grapes and is very reasonably priced. https://delectable.com/wine/nobilotto/piemonte-rosso

I’m gonna guess, based on my vast knowledge and experience in Italian wines (more a goal than reality), that the dominant grape in that is Nebbiolo, the same grape used to make Barolo, which can be cellared for decades. I’ll look for an invitation to taste one in 20 years… when I’m 92. Watch for the wheel chair bound geezer coming up your driveway.

Should have checked the alc% before buying. Thought it'd be about 4-4.5%

SheilaAnn They’re not bad. Not as good as a proper freshly made margarita…but they’ll do in a pinch. And they’re easy to toss into my luggage. LOL

Fixing to decide from among these options:

Haha #4 was kegged about 3 weeks ago and has been chilling on CO2. I tapped it yesterday while replacing beer lines, and am working on a pint now!

The dubbel was supposed to be about 7% ABV, but the yeast I used (OB Belgian from Bootleg Biology) was a huge overachiever, and took the final gravity to almost 1.000, and an ABV of 9.2%. Got a lot of Belgian character, and doesn't taste as dry as the Tilt floating hydrometer measurements tell me it is...

Good choice SheilaAnn ! Probably my favorite but I have to ration it, as I get about 1 keg every 2 years, due to the extended time aging in a bourbon barrel for 18-24 months. I’m gonna mark that tap offline before my kids come over on Mother’s Day, haha…

A little peated scotch while the grill comes to temperature.

Attjack Not drinking tonight so no cocktails but I had to have a wee taste. Wow wow wow! That is amazing stuff. Good thing I bought two cuz I can tell this is gonna disappear quickly. Also, I couldn’t even begin to describe it there’s so much going on. That is one of the most interesting things I’ve tasted in a long while. Thanks for putting this on my radar.

I can down a bottle crazy fast. The cocktails are just too good!

Really nice bourbon here, Old Forester 1870 is part of their whiskey row collection.

ID:	1598958 Well I bought some Argentinian Flap Meat and made some Chimichurri and picked up some Frenet to make the Argentinian national drink - Frenet con Coca. Gotta say it’s a bit strange but I like it. Probably a really good drink for me while grilling so I don’t get as Schiffahzed as I normally do drinking Negronis while grilling. Something new, Cheers!
