If I recall...AB "Budweiser" called themselves the "King of Beers" using a play on the original Budvar's "The Beer of Kings."

Just a Coke for me this evening. The sacrificing that is made being on call...

CaptainMike I can suffer with a Partagas Black Label when there is no Graycliff or My Father available :-) .... you're damn skippy we can solve the world's problems over a fine cigar and a fine cocktail!

Oh, that looks relaxing! I need to get up to my local tobacconist and make a selection. I'm partial to medium bodied cigars with Connecticut Shade wrappers. Enjoy Brother!!

Yessir, it's lookin like a wonderful, memorable vacay, by all indications!
                  Enjoy, at MAX settings!

Nothin' bad ever come out of Buffalo Trace Distillery...

Weller is a good wheated bourbon, similar to (but better than, IMO) Maker's Mark.

You're absolutely right. Anything with the BT or Weller name on it is a real winner. That Special Reserve is very, very good. The Antique is one of my all time favorites, but getting harder to come by.

BourBonQ I have to ask, considering your avatar, if you've heard of using Weller to make Pappy? Supposedly use a small 1/2 gallon (I think?) charred barrel and age Weller a month or so in it, and you'll have bootlegged Pappy, or as close to it as us mortals can afford anyway, so they say. Considering trying it since I have the big bottle, then I can do a side-by-side.

Huskee that's what I've heard, but have never tried it. I hear it's done with the 12 year Weller, which supposedly is the same juice that didn't quite pass muster for the Pappy bottle. Give 'er a go!

                I'm drinking PBR from a 20oz Yeti Tumbler. Classy.....LOL
