WhistlePig Homestock blended whiskey. It's a blend of rye, wheat and barley that is barreled for 5 years then pulled and rebarreled for the final blending. I'm a big fan of WhistlePig Rye and this did not disappoint even though it's not considered a rye.

Unfortunately, they don't ship this far west.
But I've been known to have a few when I'm working in Florida. ;-)

If you like Nohah's given Rowans Creek bourbon a try
It's high proof with some nice flavorful heat.

Enjoyed a Stone FML hazy DIPA while I made smash burgers tonight!

How does the single barrel compare with the regular 9 year? The 100 proof 9 year is one of my favorites.

I haven’t had the 100 proof 9yr so I can’t compare. But, this is really good.

      This is growing on me.

Picked up a Makers Mark Private Selection from my new favorite store in town. Brown sugar, coffee, cocoa, 111 proof goodness. Even the wife loves it.

Ooooo…. BF loves Maker Mark! I will have to look for this. Flavor profile sounds great! I may even like it! (Says the gin and tequila drinker).

With 1,001 possible combinations of finishing staves, there’s definitely a lot of flavor choices. The neck pour is a little hot, but after a wee m or so it settles quite nicely.

Can't argue with Red Foxx or Billy Dee. It does in fact "work every time". Folks make jokes all the time about me drinking it, but I absolutely love it.

I bet it does work! Let them joke all they want, if that’s what you like, go for it. I drink Coors Light exclusively, so I’ve heard a few wisecracks myself.

Last night was a bit o’ Yorkshire goodness...

Today...because it’s stoopid hot (yeah, that’s my story) it’s back to margaritas...and because the GF had loads of peppers...they’re pepper infused. :-) (And yeah, that does mean I’m back in SoCal...hear ‘til Tuesday morning. Don’t forget to tip your server. LOL)

Lagunitas is on sale at Smart & Final by me right now. Spend $20 on other groceries and get 12-packs for $11.99. You’re stupid NOT but them. We picked up Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ IPA
