HawkerXP It’s not Yahtzee it’s Farkle. And that roll is worth 1500. The game is played to 10k so it’s a good roll. smokin fool the seltzer is mine. I bought the stripe for Sophia. We both tasted it for the first time a couple weeks ago when I made the 3 tomahawks. Delicious.

A four year bourbon with only a couple of months in the mini barrel that is brought in and out of the summer heat ages it to roughly a 7-8 year bourbon. The flavors changed to increase the vanilla and carmels with a slight wood increase. The most notable change is how it rounds out taking away the rough edges of a young whiskey. Next up will be a young rye whiskey that should stay in the barrel for around 4 months.

I brought it out once we warmed up to over 80* 2 or 3 times a week. The science around this is to allow the wood to swell and contract squeezing the liquid in and out of the char to release the vanilum in the oak. Picked one up last year and have aged 3 whiskies so far. It is a blast to do and much like smoking and grilling you always find yourself thinking about new ideas and recipes. Next up is a rye whiskey followed by a tequila for my wife which should age until the start of next year.
