Just an ice cold Shiner Bock in a bottle at the moment.

        Mmmmm.... refreshing.

Of all the beers I miss, I miss Shiner Bock the most!

Trying this Blanco my girlfriend surprised me with.

Rounding out my ginger beer cycle, #4 of 4, Barritts sugar-free. This is my favorite of the 4, though I will be picking up some Fever Tree soon to compare. Just enough bite to keep things interesting, but not too much to distract me from anything else. Great balance. The label looks like something circa 1950's, but that's cool. This stuff is great. I don't mix it, except maybe a splash of some juice like lime or lemon.

          So my ranking is:
          1. Barritts
          2. Summit (Aldi brand)
          3. Q
          4. Bundaberg
I like them all, so I guess it doesn't matter. I have a Bundaberg in the fridge chilling, and now I have to brew some because WayneT planted that idea in my head. I'm pretty sure mine will taste terrible.

I'll be interested in how you rank the Fever Tree. Keep us posted, please. Nice comparison.

Oh, wait, you're brewing some? Seriously?

WayneT , I'll let you know. I'm pretty sure I've had it before. Yeah, seriously, I'll try brewing. Wait till the DW finds out... hahaha.... though she should be back in school by the time I get started. I'll let everyone know how it goes on a separate post somewhere here on AR.

          Tis' the season.

WayneT , I didn't think the Ena9 classified as a super-automatic, but I just checked and found that it does. We add water and beans, press a button, and it goes. There is a tube for making milky drinks, but I only used that once and put it away. Maybe I'll show my daughter how to use it, as she sometimes has coffee in the morning.

HotSun you got a great deal on that machine at $499! I’ve looked at some of the other refurbished ones but most are out of my budget range. Plus, i kind of enjoy the ritual of grinding, extracting and steaming/frothing so I suppose I’ll be fine without one of the super automatics. 😎

WayneT , nothing beats the coffee ritual. +1

Richard Chrz , have you tried the New Belgium Honey Orange Trippel? Not as hoppy on the finish and dangerously smooth.

I have not seen that. I don’t think we get that stocked around here. I will definitely keep my eye out though. This Trippel is my easiest access to them. Unless I brew them. Which reminds me, I have some beer to brew!

Seems like I’ve spent the last 20 years trying to find something " better" then I was brought up with. During that time I’ve tried what I believe to be every bourbon bottled today and the bottle that my father and grandfather reached for was delegated to making bbq sauce, sweet potato pie, chili and eggnog.
Today I’ve gone home…I’ve missed it. Click image for larger version Name:	5A5B9519-B95A-4521-8830-ADF8B0EFB400.jpg Views:	3 Size:	2.79 MB ID:	1302226

I try not to post repeats, but I really like this little espresso mug I traded for in Portugal, because it is so darned cute. Delta is a large commercial brand there, kind of like Lavazza or Segafredo in Italy. Double espresso:

WayneT , no, we drank it in the coffee shops, padarias, and pastelaria's. Our in-house coffee was whatever coffee bricks Aldi carried, haha.
