Seds are started, cover with a towel, to hold in heat at night. As you can see, my heat mat is covered.

Why I sometimes envy your weather. I just picked up a load of bags of worm poop today just to prepare my garden beds and have them ready for April and May. You are already months ahead of us.

Last year, I confess, I didn’t really know what dahlias were. Mrs JC fixed that. I’m super excited to see what she grows this year. Click image for larger version

hoovarmin fortunately grizzlies don’t make it this far south! but their cousins do 🙄

I'm having leftover Dahl and rice, but cooked some dry aged steak burgers on the griddle for the wife and kids.

Knowing you I figured you could have raised the cattle, have a cow around for the milk for the cheese and grown the wheat, potatoes and lettuce. So I would have bought you were in the right thread.

My dog gun is a Howa 1500 heavy barreled .22-250 action in a Boyd's laminate thumbhole stock. It's been bedded and has a timney trigger with leupold rings and bases. Currently has a 6-24×50 nightforce optic. Some 45 grain vmax in front of a hefty charge of varget, lays em down pretty good. Oak Smoke CaptainMike

Damn, I bet that gun makes you look pretty good, Tweet! For context, once upon a time I was riding a dangerously handsome buckskin gelding when this equally dangerously lovely young woman (waaay young) said to me "Damn, cowboy, that horse makes you look good" That might be the finest compliment I have ever had. I do recall wishing I was 30 years younger at the time...

Nice. I just looked at my Big Beefs and want so much to get them in the ground but we have weeks to go before that happens here. Same for my Cherokee Purples too.

I went in the ground last Thursday. Suppose to get down to 37 tomorrow night, I'm kinda sweatin it. But after that, it appears to be off to the races.
