Looks like too much water to me. Drain the excess water from the pots. Some plants will die if they are in standing water.

Thanks Ron. Pic taken just after a heavy rain.

This year's persimmon crop isn't huge. Some of them are looking like some of us old farts with all the wrinkles. But they are still tasty. And there will be a few more stragglers to pick over the next week.

Our tomato plants didn't get the memo that it is almost November. Harvested aver 20 lbs of fruit this morning, along with a few peppers. The plants are still loaded with nearly ripe fruit.

These were not the result of radiation exposure. My wife's first attempt at gardening and things were planted a little too close together

Planted with Romaine lettuce, cilantro, basil, jalapeños and purple kale. The betting pool is now open on how many weeks until I manage to kill everything.

Well, Johnny Booth , only the cilantro is dead at this point. We've been into the Romaine, kale and basil several times. In fact, tonight instead of cooked greens with our Hoppin' John, it will be salads from this bounty. The jalapenos are still trying, but they took a hit from an earlier freeze and slowed down considerably.

For those of you who live in the South or other warmer climates this is nothing, but here in Maryland this is insane. I’m still picking vine ripened tomatoes from my garden the day before Thanksgiving. They are smaller and not as pretty as they use to be earlier in the season, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Kathy just walked in from the garden and showed me these. And, we have supposedly had several killing frost. That section of the garden must have seceded from Maryland and joined up with a southern state. And she thinks she will pick 6 or so eggplants tomorrow.

My tomatoes still haven't gotten the memo that it is going to be winter in 4 days. Bushes are still loaded with fruit. This time of the year I pick them as soon as they start to show some color and let them ripen inside. I chopped up 4 lbs today and milled to make 6 cups of passata for the freezer.

Good stuff. I start peppers and Tomatoes in February.

It took a few months to get around to making our pasta sauce with our homegrown tomatoes but Amanda finally had time. It was an all day project!

cool! we miss the Cali poppies the most! My wife is so delighted when she can grow some in the summer in Colorado when we stay for the summer.

2024 seed starting station, Temp controlled heat mat, seeds started in vermiculite, grow light through the tops of the container. Towel covers them at night to help hold heat in

                Hot HOT pepers

Well, the romaine is still going strong. In fact, it's kind of gotten away from us. The rest of the stuff gave up; I knew I put this in a bit late for most of them.
