My peppers are still producing during the dog days of August, when the heat breaks they'll kick in again,

We're going to need a bigger boat... Today's tomato harvest: 27 lbs. Our best season in memory, although a bit overwhelming from our small vegetable patch.

          I’m speechless!

Been a pretty inhospitable summer for gardens. Nobody’s in my neighborhood looks very good so that helps me feel better about mine. Drip irrigation install was worth the frustration

Love this raw corten steel planter I got from Amazon. I may pick up a couple more when my Thai basil seedlings are ready to transplant into their permanent home. Then I will be as cool as smokenoob

          CandySueQ yes it is

It’s pepper time at last. Time for some months of fermentation before making hot sauce with them. Starting kraut in the crock today as well

How do you know when it's time to harvest the jalapeño? I just got 3 plants.

hoovarmin I look for those vertical stretch marks and a nice deep green color. When I spot one going chipotle and turning red I start taking a close look at the plants. Ripe ones should pull off easily and usually ripen bottom to top of plant.

I am still slicing brown jalapenos.

        Im ready to run canner

            Nope. Worthless decorative pepper plant.

Frost warning here in Minnesota tonight so I grabbed everything that was close to ready. I have a bunch more habaneros ready to turn red out there so I hope they make it to the finish line

A wee bit of my most recent pepper harvest...
it's been a good year for the italian long hots. Pepperoncini is doing pretty well, and jalapenos too. Trying to let some of the jalapenos turn red so I can make chipotle powder..

Well I’m jealous. Something, I guess a mole, came through and ate the roots of most of my pepper plants this year.

Wifey says this is 1/5 of the apples on our Haralson tree

Anyone else remember our sad single pepper the first year? This is entirely Amanda’s work FWIW.

My belief is not enough sunlight. Move them to place so they get much more sunlight.
