Well, small scale compared to some here, but a bit of work. We processed about 70 lbs of tomatoes— San Marzanos, Purple Cherokee, Celebrity, Sungold. Chopped, puréed, sauce, juice & paste. Also salsa with our tomatillos, tomato jam, dried tomato chips, and one very delicious tomato pie. Still a few stragglers out there in the south Texas heat. Here’s some of it.

We've been processing tomatoes for the last week also. But the tomato plants are about to give up in the heat. Tonight I'm starting tomato seeds for the fall garden: Red Deuce, Roma, & Sweet 100s.

1). Honest these are new pictures, but they sure seem like repeats.
2). I have never had pepper plants produce the way these brown jalapeños have.
3). I'm going off the peppers for several days trying to isolate the Trigger food that causes my problems
        4). 43 1/2 pints have been processed

            Very nice Don!

The 'maters and peppers are taking over the front bed. There's actually tomato cages around the tomatoes, but they don't seem to care. There's also another pepper plant in the middle that I might have to move since it's getting shaded out by everything else.

The two pepper plants in the front overwintered from last season, and of course I don't remember what they are and the tags went missing. I think I'm scare, though. I'm pretty sure they're both superhots.

No photos, but the new-to-us 'Lunchbox' peppers are a massive disappointment. Put out a few early peppers, then stopped. Two got ripe and Mrs. Prof sliced them to go with today's 'The Mess' ™️.

The peppers are the size of my first thumb joint.

pasmom - The hydroponics are from here: https://aerogarden.com/home/

The little one on top is a "Harvest Elite" and the big one is a "Farm 12".

I've had the little one for a few years and the big one since last Christmas. I'm pretty satisfied with their quality and the fact that they keep us supplied with herbs, cherry tomatoes, and banana peppers year round.

The Herb Planters are providing me with more than I can use. My neighbors are enjoying some also.

While I would love to take credit, I cannot. Dragonfruit flower. It blooms for one day and only at night. This is in my boss’ backyard. It’s her third year.

This reminds me of the Dennis the Menace scene where Mr. Wilson invites the garden club over to see his special flower bloom.

Harvested a few peppers today on the kitchen table getting right, they must've slow down some because I've caught up!

I checked my plants closely, they are loaded with small green jalapeños. My season is not over till late October.

I'm planning on planting 3 different varieties of Thai basil seeds in this planter. First, is this a good idea, or should I start the seeds inside? Second, do I have to drive to ACE hardware or is there some household item I can use to mark which seeds are which. I guess I could use a Sharpie on the container if I had to, but would rather not. I am completely inexperienced at gardening, so no comment is to basic.

You've got kids. Get some popsicles for the kids and have them save the sticks.

Or being only three, use three coloured pencils (or anything similar on hand) and just remember which colour goes with which variety. Maybe write the colour on the seed packet.
