In spite of a tornado early on, my tomato plants are coming along well. They've set a lot of fruit. Will be having my first BLT in a couple of weeks.
Plants were in the ground about a week, when there was an F0 tornado 7 blocks away. We got some really strong wind gusts from it. Winds threw the tomato cages all around the backyard. My plants were around a foot tall and day after it looked like they weathered it well, but I think the cages rolling around damage the stalks on quite a few plants. They were very weak and could not stand up without a cage. But they've mended and are now coming on strong.

My tomato production has been dropping for a number of years. I think that the trees around the garden contributed as well as the diseases the persist in the soil from year to year. You are supposed to rotate tomatoes yearly, but after 40+ years, there is no uninfected place left. After a dismal year last year, I told myself that this year could be the last if I didn't figure something out.
After some online research, I decided to try trellising tomatoes this year after discovering that the diseases my tomatoes get can overwinter on the metal cages I have been using the whole time I've had a garden here. There's a bit more to this than I have included, but I'm gonna add a link to the video that helped.
What irritates me is that the plants I bought were mislabeled, and I didn't get the variety I always plant. They taste and look different. And they aren't as good as what I have been growing.

Yep, I see them now. I have Monster Pots, a fibre 6-8 gallon individual pot I can start fresh soil n plants every year. The GMS seem to like them. -
Alan Brice - I have used that type of pot in the past hoping to control the disease, but they didn't work, so I stopped using them. If I had realized it was the cages, I'd probably still be using them, and I may switch back to them next year.

Well, apparently I am doing a great job of growing tomato horn worms. There were 3 on my plants the other day. All three were fat and had done a lot of damage to the plants they were on. I threw 2 of them into the woods but left the third one because it had been parisitized by a predatory wasp. I left it because the eggs on it will produce a lot of the same wasp and the wasp stung and paralyzed it so it can't do any more damage.

First time growing parsley. It's getting these white flecs on the leaves. My picture this app says the plant looks healthy. Should I be concerned about using this?Comment

It could be a few things like powdery mildew. Don’t water leaves but instead at the base of the plant. It can also be stress related such as being in too much sun and being too hot. I use to see this occasionally in high humidity when the soil was too dry. I haven’t seen it since I installed a drip irrigation system for my herbs and moved the location where they get full sun during the morning but into partial shade in the afternoon. Just my thoughts as one growing parsley in a similar zone.
