      Oh wow, I see why!

The tomato plants started in February are just a few weeks from being planted in the dome.

It's great, we can grow all winter just with the sun for warmth.

hoovarmin - yes you do, but in FL, ya need to have it air conditioned.

It’s 🫐 time again in the garden!

Well my first crop of Maryland grown pineapples is starting strong. I repotted 4 out of 8 today and built a deer fence just in case those thieves develop a taste for them.

This peony came from my dear departed MIL's yard. She passed in 2016, and this is the only plant we moved to our house.

        So gorgeous

The Itoh Peony is starting to open up. These are a cross of a tree peony and a herbaceous peony. Nice bushy plant with strong upright stems that can hold these 8" flowers without falling over.

        Gonna be spectacular

Rushing the season a little in southern Wisconsin. Put in Brussel Sprouts and celery last weekend. Never have I seen celery before in a garden center so I had to give it a try. Both are on the cold hardy side. Going to plant peas this coming weekend and one tomato just to see how it does. That's my gasser and OKJ Bronco in the background.

I have two of these planters. I filled them both to about 4" from the top. If you decide to do that, add another cross brace half way down from the top cross brace in the middle - I didn't (planter doesn't come with one, just top and bottom cross braces) and the sides bulged out several inches from the weight of the dirt.

Uncovered the Banana Palms, last weekend.

Downsized my peppers to just one -- Tabasco!

6 Caribbean red habaneros, the one plant at the end is a sweet scorpion that was overwintered from last year.

            Happy Birthday…belated as it is.

Over the last 40 years or so, the trees have gotten bigger. I like that except for the trees south of the garden. They are too tall now the garden does not get enough sun. I have been downsizing for a number of years now and am at the point I only plant tomatoes. SWMBO does plant cukes and zukes, and some various lettuces. It has been hard to give up the various stuff I have grown for years, but diminishing returns and advancing age have combined to slowly eliminate everything but tomatoes. Corn was really hard to give up, but return for the work involved finally reached the point where there was no point.

Here's my tomatoes for this year. I just set them out Sunday. I need to add straw and the cages and I will be done.

I tried some new planting bags this year. They are made from a material that allows water to pass in, and roots to grow out. No need to remove the bags before planting. (100 bags just under 5X5" for $6.) roots won't grow through into air, but did grow through where bags touched.
