Some of our jungle spending their last day under lights. We received over 2 inches of rain last night so all the raised beds are now just right for transplanting.

We are going to plant tomatoes this week as well.

I am envious! Soil temps here are still in the 30s-40s.

Yes, but you have that maple syrup...

Last year's garden was a disaster (beautiful baseball-size tomatoes that all got wiped out).

This year's garden so far? Regrowing green onion stubs.

I don't care what any of you say, I'm jealous..

With evening lows being unseasonably cold lately our tomato, eggplant, and pepper section is still under covers until things heat up some.

I am not sure what I am gonna do this year. I might just do jalapeños and Serranos and that is it. I already dropped tomatoes, herbs etc. Last year all I did was pepper varieties. Now I think I might just do two varieties and call it good. I will still plant the same amount of plants, but we really only use the jalapeños and Serranos.

Jalapeños plants are doing well. Should start picking jalapeños within the next week.

Just planted some tomatoes, green peppers and jalapenos to go with the herbs. I have some chives, thyme, rosemary, sage, basil and oregano (not pictured) going.

Got the herbs in the deck planter. This season I decided to stick with herbs I actually use, proportionately to how often I use them. In that order, most frequent to least: thyme, basil, flat leaf parsley, oregano, cilantro, rosemary, curly parsley, sage, and chives. I like sage, but I never seem to use it; same with chives. I’m going to try to keep the cilantro from bolting this year. Wish me luck.

Those chives are at least 5 years old, they just started growing out of the turned soil!

Rosemary is a perennial in this area, and can grows to shrub size. Ya might try planting one in a pot to see if it will survive the winter in your area.

                  Mosca - here's a rosemary bush I saw a while back. It's about 3' tall.

                    Holy heck Ron!

Late to the party but started at last. Three tomatoes, one pepper, and a bunch of green onion stubs.

Green bean seeds, too. Not counting the morning glories.
