I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

randy.56 Well, just this morning is example of why plastic wrap. We had a line of storms with 40 mph gusts. I planted last Friday. Those plants are just getting their footing. It also provides some hail protection, as hail doesn't necessarily fall straight down. Mulch is next step. Everything inside the cage will be protected from dirt splashing on the leaves spreading disease. It also warms the soil around the plant.
running out of room in this post

randy.56 As to how many plants, yes if everything goes great I will have an over abundance of tomatoes. But most years, that does not happen. Last year was prime example. I had a cutworm infestation. And they did not attack the seedlings, they attacked 2 foot tall plants. They could not cut them down, but killed them. I could not figure what was happening. I lost 13 of 24 plants.
Weather is also a huge variable. 3 years ago we had July weather in May. Hardly any production

randy.56 one more reason for over planting, and most important one, my plants get the blight. A combination of summer heat in July and the blight taking the plants, means by mid July they're done producing. Basically, I get whatever is produced in May and June.
I've searched for cures for the blight for years, but have now resigned myself to just overwhelming it with numbers.
And there's absolutely no cure for Oklahoma heat in July.
