      Why 40 hours? Super-long fast?

STEbbq - one of those procedures you get to have when you get to a certain age

Camping at the Georgia RC flying field today and continue my quest for the perfect sausage egg noobmuffin. On this one, I added a pinch of sage, thyme, and onion powder along with a tiny slice of butter on the sausage. It’s getting closer! 😁

smokenoob sounds great…. But let’s talk about serviceware. In the past, I’ve offered Panhead John west coast distribution on his serviceware (please visit the last meat up for branding ideas). If west coast is an option, let’s discuss.

      😜🤣😂😜🤣😂😜🤣😂

SheilaAnn Thank you for your kind offer! Unfortunately I have already a signed contract for manufacture and distribution and so far have made a small fortune! Now, if I could only recover the large fortune I invested…………😳

Classic Real Estate (my field) joke. How do you make a small fortune in real estate? Start with a large one.

Yesterday was a fast day and all day I thought how I’d break my fast. Croque Madame! Basically a fancy grilled ham and cheese w an egg and mornay on top. Sooo delicious. Now I’ve got to take a nap.

      Sunday Breakfast:

My wife made an 9" x 13" egg bake (breakfast casserole) that was very, very good. Lucky for me, I know what will also be for breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I've always appreciated leftovers and "eating old food" is one of my retirement pleasures.

Me too but I have one son whose family refuses to keep any leftovers, including Thanksgiving turkey! I eat like a pig when I visit knowing it will be thrown out.

I have one son who gives me 24 hours to eat any leftovers. After that, it's up for grabs which usually means it's gone.

My go-to when I am in a hurry or just feeling lazy. So as you can imagine, I have this for the vast majority of my breakfast selections. 🤣🙄🤦‍♂️

        beautiful soft scramble!

Had to go to Kearny, NJ today. Put it on your bucket list 🙄🙄🙄. However, I took the opportunity to stop at The Greeks diner and had the #2 Taylor Ham sammich in the state!! IYKYK.

And yes, if it weren’t for me, ONLY Greek would’ve been spoken in there.

HawkerXP 😂😂😂 I’ll see what I can do

Some kind of avocado-y Caprese toast thing. It’s tomato, avocado, and buffalo mozzarella diced, on rosemary sourdough toast with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and basil. It was pretty good.

Naw. I wasn’t real hungry and didn’t want to clean anything up. Bacon plus tomato plus avocado plus buffalo mozz is a stone cold winner, though. I sometimes do BLTs that way.

Sunday breakfast. This morning at a cabin in the woods.

      Sourdough Pancakes
Oven roast potatoes with onion and a little carrot
      Sausage links
      Amazing Ribs Canadian Bacon
      Onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and jalapenos
      Eggs
      Homemade baked beans

Family and friends. Bit of work bee, fishing, partying.

Thats the way to start the day!

Took some pics of my breakfast tacos yesterday, but they didn't come out very well. Something wrong with my camera settings, I think.

Now that I think about it... I had an Android update, maybe it screwed it up.

My contribution to 5 Mayo 2025. I was going to do chilaquiles divorceados and eggs, or huevos rancheros, or migas, but instead I just wung it.

Chorizo, hash browns, eggs over easy.

Avocado, cilantro, cotija. I just realized a week or so ago that you don’t have to scoop an avocado; you can peel it for a better presentation! And I love cotija. It’s hit or miss at my grocery store. Last week was a hit!

On the plate. Chili-lime seasoning on the avocado. For the salsas, I took a tablespoon or so of red and green each, and mixed in a little bit of crema to give it that look and creaminess. (Home serving tip: when you fumble the transfer of the eggs from skillet to plate, make it look like you meant to do that by covering them with other stuff.)

I opened the fridge to cook bacon ( from Panhead John, thank you!) and eggs and then I saw the chicken salad, slaw and macaroni salad and I changed my mind.

At least half the reason I post in this topic is because the colors of breakfast tacos are so vibrant!

Gruyere omelet with avocado, everything bagel seasoning, and some hot sauce, split in two on rye toast, over jalapeño cream cheese. I wasn’t sure whether to put the avocado on top or the omelet half, so I did one each way. Egg/omelet on top looks better, but the avocado hitting the palate first tastes better.
