JCBBQ What is this Pink Gin you speak of?

SheilaAnn So, the English colonials in Africa were a bunch of Lushes. They had too many servants and not enough to do so they drank a lot of gin. Pink Gin is essentially straight gin w some angostura bitters in it. Lol. This particular concoction was enough gin to almost fill the glass, leaving room for dilution and four shots of bitters, shaken snd strained. If I remember correctly, you like your gin straight so I think you’ll like this one 😜

JCBBQ I loves my G&Ts. My martinis are always gin and all you do is whisper the word vermouth. I also enjoy a dirty martini.

But adding bitters? Fascinating! I have some bougie bitters in the cabinet. I will have to give it a go!

    Dickel 9 on the patio.

Chilling in fairchild kitchen watching some college football on this great fall day. Working through some of my homebrews as I debate which beer I should drew tomorrow. I did manage to get my 22 wsm, and my 22 kettle cleaned on the inside. I desperately need to install a new one touch system in that cooker. Might even take on the 26 tomorrow. Debating energy and dinner ideas. rime to start thinking about tearing down the patio for the fall, and start cooking out front for the winter. Hoping to get a few more weeks though.

The pour is from Woodford reserve. I know so little about bourbon & Tennessee whiskey, I know a few more scotch I like. Of these two, my current palate prefers Jack Daniels, I need to figure out a few more that have that tiny bit of sweetness in it, like I taste in Jack. I also prefer double casket scotches that have been in Sheri casks.

I'm rooting for them, but up 4 zip and lost. Hope the choke collar isn't tightening. Also for the next game, you might want to get some Dogfish Head 120.

HawkerXP It was surprisingly palatable for such high gravity. I don't generally care for them that strong, but this was good.

RichieB I'm a fan of the Mariners and Georgia football....... I'm used to the choke collar tightening, but it still hurts to watch!

Just put a beef roast in the pellet grill and enjoying an IPA while I tend to the fire..... Click image for larger version
