Drinking Belle Meade Sour Mash. In a low ball with a few cubes.

This is a well balanced whiskey, but the rye makes it a bit spicy. Not overly sweet, peaty or floral. Very drinkable and not a bad price, paid $45 for 750mL.

Guinness, the beverage for all seasons...especially when the keg is fresh!

A good friend brought me some Yuengling on his trip to Florida. Lucky me. Cheers!

Great craft style beer from a larger brewer.
It had just made it into Texas when I was there in Sept and I drank my fair share.

Ever since it arrived in Texas I've consumed several cases. I mean, 2-4 twelve packs a week.

Dumb question here: do you not have Yuengling in Nebraska?
Or is my sarcasm filter not working today?

I found a way to make the crappy grocery store Port wine (Taylor or Fairbanks) that I buy for cooking taste half way decent: 2/3 crap port and 1/3 good cognac or brandy. Yeah, I know you are supposed to cook with what you would drink but most times I'm NOT going to use $30-50/bottle Port for cooking.

And then it was back to doing what I do and time can be tight…
Anyway, here ya go. I now have several. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I’m guessing this bottle is why I like Makers so much. Started the whole wheated bourbon thing. This is an inexpensive/entry to the wheated bourbons. Quite tasty and great value. I taste sweet(honey?), followed by vanilla notes, very little burn. Enjoyable drink next to a fire and good friends.

Doing some big Old Fashioned’s for the Super Bowl. 2tsp simple syrup, 4-5 squirts each of angostura bitters and orange bitters, 2 Luxardo maraschino cherries, 6oz WT101, big sphere cube. One for the first qtr, just made #2 for beginning of 2nd qtr.

Those brews had to taste better because they were chilled in the great outdoors.

They really did bunky2021. In the winter months I move my pellet grill and smoker under my deck that's 8 feet up making it a snow free area with plenty of snow around the outside of the area for nature's cooler.

This was on my list of bourbon to try but it's impossible to find in my area. Stopped by my local liquor store and he surprised me with a bottle.

I recently stumbled across this whiskey locally. I am pleased because it is an American one which I’ve mentioned wanting to expand my taste profile into more US whiskeys. It was $35 for a 750 ML. The backstory is kind of fun with it being the first distillery in Lexington since Prohibition.

I actually really like it. It has a much stronger flavor than any of the other US whiskeys I have tried. It is not peaty like the Scottish whiskys so not comparable but definitely a very nice and enjoyable pour. I will buy again if I see it.
