For the last several years my wife and I have gone to Jamaica this week to get away. Would have been at the Holiday Inn Montego Bay by 3 this afternoon.
This year we’re reduced to a six pack of Red Stripe beer and Pina Colada’s from a Mrs T’s mixers with a picture of the pier from the resort with some reggae in the back ground.

I am having some Buds while making a sourdough jalapeno gouda cheese bread to be baked tomorrow. After being locked down for weeks had a friend over who likes American domestics and I have no problem with that.
On the coffee front though. I found a local roaster that only charges $8 a pound if you buy in person and is usually 14 or so ordered online. I have gone through most of their coffee, a few types left to try. No clear favorite. I started with a french press but the glass broke so went to the Aeropress, and now have a stainless french press just to try again.Comment

After my daughter and her family came for dinner, 12, 9, 3 Y.O. boys and 10 month old dog left pored a neat Makers. On my second. Not sure if there will be a 3rd.

For the record, I did not drink 5 bottles of wine. I do a wine tasting podcast with my (now former) retail neighbor. Social distanced of course. We taste and discuss wines of Baja and Valle Guadalupe. This was our fifth session. It’s been so much fun! smokin fool you would love some of the ones we tried! -
Sounds like fun, I've done beer tasting but never wine.
But I have turned into a wine snob of sorts, I try to buy only Canadian/Ontario VQA wines.
You know, support locally as we're 45-60 mins from Niagara/Norfolk wine country.
My daughter in law has coerced me to branch into Cali wines which I have always quite enjoyed but had stayed away from.
I stick to smaller wineries, if there is such a thing, when a winery bottles 10's of millions of bottles a year there is no love of product. -
smokin fool that’s why I love these wines from Baja. All small wineries. I am hoping this year I will get to visit with the team. With the exception of my Justin’s from central coast, I stick to the smaller houses as well!

Follow up on my post from this AM.
After 9 hours with a 2 year old and a just under 4 year old, after a couple beers with dinner, I am on the Jim Beam Black neat. A wild day and they come back for a repeat tomorrow! But, truthfully, we love it.Comment
