"National Bourbon Day is an annual celebration held on June 14th. It honors bourbon’s 1964 Congressional recognition as America's Native Spirit. The day highlights the craftsmanship, history, and generations of distillers behind this uniquely American
            whiskey."
            • The Elijah Craig Legend: According to popular folklore, June 14, 1789, was the day that Baptist minister and distiller Elijah Craig first distilled the spirit. Legend has it he accidentally charred the inside of some used barrels and found that aging his whiskey in them created the smooth, sweet, amber-colored liquor we know today.
            Cheers everyone.

Cheers! I'll be celebrating with a highball later. I have some Elijah Craig and a highball glass chilling in the freezer.

This makes sense. Because this is also my wedding anniversary. Totally makes sense!

Very interesting. One of the first bottles of Bourbon I purchased was the Elijah Craig Small Batch. I wanted to try Bourbon after being a Scotch drinker all of my life. I thought that rather tasty.

I did celebrate yesterday however unknowingly ....

Oddly enough, I did too! But hey, the odds are pretty high that would happen.

This is one of my favorite from 1792. This and the BiB. I think these are becoming a bit more available at the store, so may have replace this as well as the Bib yellow neck.

Yes, bourbon is becoming available again. I bought a bottle of Weller for the first time.

We were at Total Wine and Costco yesterday and a couple of things just fell into my shopping cart. As we were leaving TW the sales person said here try a taste of this tequila. It was Don Roberto Extra Anejo. My wife even enjoyed the sip. But at $149, I said I'd have to wait until next time.

On our way home, about 45 minutes from TW, my wife says, you should have bought the DR for your Father's Day present. All I could say was, "now you tell me!"

I’ve yet to have the rambler, but I really enjoy the WR and KC you have there! Enjoy those pours!!!

I don’t pour this one often. But I sure do enjoy it when I do!

I don’t have the discipline to save anything 😞 I’d drink that up in a week. Damn, I suck.

I really like this pour! It’s good! But I enjoy most toasted barrel and double oak pours! I need to pick another one of these up soon.

I bought the Eagle Rare 12 year at the duty free shop in the airport at Aruba for vacation whiskey,(I couldn't pass it up at the $49.99 price), because the last time we stayed here all they had was JD Black & Beam.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they now have Buffalo Trace & Bulleit at the bars, so the ET12 is coming home with me. I'll probably snag another one to take home, because I've only seen it at one liquor store at home & it was stupidly overpriced.
The whiskey in the glass is BT and they give very healthy pours.

I think it is dang tasty and would buy two or three at that price! Enjoy!

Old Fashion while get the kettle fired up for a nice dinner tonight! Bourbon is First Call Rye, a great buy for a mixer from Total Wine. 1.75L for $39. It’s even ok for a sipper!
