That was last night. Jameson's tonight. Will I ever learn?

Oaked Mosaic IPA by Community Beer Company out of Dallas. Very tasty, major shift from the summer time shandies I have been drinking.

I rediscovered the Distinguished Spirits Youtube channel recently and have been making Rye drinks. Yesterday I had a few too many of these - Vieux Carre. It’s like a Manhattan just a little fancier. Absolutely delicious. I’m normally not cocktail guy but it’s fun every now and again. Anyway check out that channel, it’ll raise you mixology game considerably.

As much as I like ryes I'm embarrassed to admit the first time I tried Knob's rye was this past Friday night. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Great mixing rye, or sipping if you like a 100 proofer.

Huskee I got it to make Manhattans with. You're right, it is great mixed w something sweet like the Vieux Carre or Manhattan.

Huskee Knob's Rye is definitely tasty, fiery stuff!!!

Sadly, right now I'm drinking cold leftover coffee from breakfast over ice and wishing it was a nice porter or stout.

On vacation. House project done for the day. Strange low-n-slow pork cook smoking away. Hot and sunny day in mid GA.

                A jacked up peach Bellini.

                1 part vodka
                2 parts peach Bellini mix
                4 parts prosecco

                The perfect summer porch drink.

As we know, smoking a brisket has 2 key phases: the sitting around drinking coffee phase, followed by the sitting around drinking beer phase. I’m entering phase 2. This is not my favorite IPA - it was on sale yesterday, but now I remember why I don’t usually buy it. But that’s not stopping me from drinking it.

That VERY well sums up the 2 phases of a brisket cook. I like that!

A relatively new 80 proof American "whiskey" (not bourbon). It's good. I can't say it's fantastic, but it's smooth and good. I certainly don't regret purchasing it, but can't say I'll rush to buy it again before trying others.

That's a pretty audacious claim they have there on the bottle. Never had it but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's probably not the best whiskey in America.
