Totally Welcome, my pleasure to assist, Brother richinlbrg it was 'feels like 105°F when I got home from work, an I found myself outta CoCola I wanted summat cold, an th apple juice was jus sittin there, tryin to act all inconspicuous...
Actually, it was delicious; this from a man who almost always drinks his bourbon neat.
            Who'da ever thunk? lol

richinlbrg Brother, here's a couple other I have come up with, over many decades:\
Jack (or yer fave bourbon) an Root Beer.
            Spiced Rum an Dr. Pepper.
Sounds weird, but they taste dang dang Good...

Nice one for a hot humid day and waiting for the beef cheeks to finish for tacos.

New Belgium is good stuff! I’ve never seen that one, I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.

Being hot...in the 70s.....you need a drink to keep you warm! Not a cold can of beer!

Another new to me beer...I went to a specialty beer store yesterday to check out a bunch of different beers.

Well, the stouts that I picked up in El Paso a week ago are long since gone. LOL
Funny thing is, I can’t for the life of me remember which one I liked best. Dang
So I’m just gonna get ‘em both again tomorrow on my way back west. ;-)

As for today...I’m having the cider...for now. LOL (Gotta chill the "Real Heavy" for just a bit.)

The cider is pretty decent, and not as sweet as most American ciders. Not as dry as the stuff I used to drink in the UK, but at least it doesn’t taste like an apple soda.
It comes from Austin but is easy to find all over central Texas.

The Scotch Ale comes from Blanco, Texas...so the "hill country." I found it at an H-E-B near Waco today... Looking forward to trying that one. It rolls in at 9.3%...so real close to an imperial stout...or a 19th century Guinness. They now have about half that. By comparison, two of my other faves are Lagunitas Imperial Stout Click image for larger version Name:	3FDBBA53-6006-4642-B9D1-2E3C61175449.jpeg Views:	0 Size:	2.22 MB ID:	871669 which is 9.9% and New Holland Dragons Milk which is a whopping 11%. barelfly I pass through there quite often... Unfortunately I’m usually trying to hundreds of miles one direction or the other, so don’t generally spend a lot of time there. I keep threatening to spend a weekend...but alas that may have to wait for a bit.

Lagunitas Imperial Stout, an Dragon's Milk are both some tasty choices...

I enjoy El Paso, as did Marty Robbins.

Many/most of the Pit Members who attended the first Meat-up: Meathead in Paradise, in Green Turtle Cay will be at least vaguely familiar with the Goombay Smash. Well I have dusted off the recipe for this summer:
