J Henry and Sons, Patton Road Reserve, Wisconsin Straight Bourbon Whiskey. 2016 double gold medal winner. This is incredibly good bourbon. It is hard to get outside of the Midwest. Luckily it is local hooch for me.

      Sounds great!

A new release from Dogfish Head. Real nice ale, sweetness from the honey. Not too hoppy. I don't get the granola but it is very refreshing.

MBMorgan the Løiten summer aquavit is a bit smoother than the Linie aquavit.
The Løiten goes very well with grilled foods.

Thanks for the information. I'll look for it but really don't expect to find any in Colorado (I have a hard enough time finding Linie).

Do you use lime in the bourbon?

    Cheers!

I'm having a Weihenstephaner Pilsner at pub. I found this cool book here and ordered some happy hour sliders.

The happy hour cocktails are good though. $5 for a good old fashioned will keep me coming back.

      Clyde May’s Special Reserve Whiskey

On a whim, I procured this bottle of whiskey after enjoying his brother Clyde May’s Straight Bourbon. This one clocks in at 55%abv. I’m enjoying this with 2 cubes in a lowball glass. Mashbill is 55%corn, 30%rye and 15%barley. Upon first sip is wow, this is sweet with a lingering spicy ness. Definitely lots of apple in this one. Scary part is there’s not a lot of burn, it’s not a bad whiskey. Would buy again and recommend to try.

Distiller’s app describes it like "eating a caramel glazed apple", I totally agree.

Huskee, It is worth the venture. A buddy recommended it, I don't regret this purchase.

Manhattan. Buffalo Trace, Noilly Pratt, Angostura, Luxardo cherry. 4:1 whiskey to vermouth.

Old Forrester. The cheap one. Plenty.

My wife made some margaritas tonight. Fresh squeezed lime, fresh strawberries, lunazul 100% agave reposado tequila, a little triple sec, and some agave syrup. Good stuff!
