I grabbed a couple a Carlsberg's on the way home tonight, we'll have a few tomorrow

Nothing yet - I've got another couple hours of driving to do. But I did pick up some treats from the liquor store

Picked up a New Belgium mixed 12 pack. I tried to upload a pick but got the same error that Elton's BBQ got.

It was indeed my friend. I boiled half a cup of sugar in a half a cup of water, let it cool, added that to a blender with 6 oz of blackberries and pureed, then strained it.

              2 oz tequila
              2 oz of lime juice
              2 oz of blackberry syrup
              1 barspoon of orange liqueur

Thanks Brother, I might well try...
Would it be considered uncouth / borderline barbaric, if I chose to not strain?
Fwiw, I likeys puly OJ, as well...some do not, decidely...

Well, my syrup was very pulpy. Straining it just got rid of the seeds.

I am drinking a St Pauli Girl. Not the greatest beer, but I like malt over hops. For my tastes, too many of the craft beers are "hop forward".
That is fine, whatever sells is fine with me. I don't think those beers are balanced. To me, it is like a resurgence of boiled and oven baked meat smothered in bbq sauce and raved over as good bbq. Probably not going to be a popular opinion!

I also prefer beers with a more balanced flavour, to each, their own...
I've smelled roadkill skunk on a two lane blacktop on a hunnert-ten degree day that I enjoyed more than some of th hop-heavy beers I've tasted...

Nuthin wrong with a St. Pauli Girl, I'd drink one, if ya offered it, have had many...
