smokin fool it was decent. I got it off a recommendation on my first trip in 3 weeks to the liquor store. I still prefer Dragons Milk

AverageJoe I found four breweries here that make something like yours.
Its only available at they're retail stores.
But in one case they will send it to a local LCBO so may give that a go.

I don't buy one too often, but Dragon's Milk is good stuff!!!

Woodford distiller’s edition rye, club soda, a bit of ice ... in my hydro flask old fashioned cup ... yes, those are pork chops about to go on the Hasty-Bake and smoke

My stash of quarantine beer evaporated and probably have to wait until Monday to replenish vital supplies. In meantime hit the strategic reserve cabinet.

If its anything like here be prepared to stand in line.
Since Friday line ups at grocery, beer and liquor stores can be over an hour.
At 7:30 am took me 50 mins to get into grocery store, I lucked out going mid afternoon waits were 5-10 mins at liquor store.

Huskee - Black Jack was my first whiskey. We used to sit around the halls in the dorm at college and pass around a bottle of Jack. That's what passed for smooth in those days (early 70's).

I had to drive to New Jersey on Thursday to restock the whiskey cabinet. But at least there were no lines. The pickin's were slim, however. But I did manage to get 2 bottles of Maker's Mark for sippin' and also a bottle of my martini gin (Plymouth) which was nearly gone at home.

Every since Huskee posted a pic of his NY Sour a few weeks back I have been on a binge for them. I use half the amount of Evan Williams as I would for Manhattans, so it goes further. The only downside is I'm constantly having to make simple syrop . The wine float is a Spanish Rioja.

Very close to what I do, except I use .75oz simple syrup. And I've been know to spill a little extra bourbon (rye actually is my personal fave for sours) in there too so maybe 2.5oz whiskey. Do you shake in egg whites?

Huskee - I haven't, but I've been thinking about trying it. How does the froth work with the wine float? O maker then 2 at a time, so I actually have been putting in 4.5 oz of whiskey for 2

The froth is really nice, at first I was grossed out by the thought but we prefer it that way now. The wine float is actually intended for the egg white froth, gives it a platform, it works well. Also, my nephew taught me this- you're 'supposed to' drip 3 drops of bitters on top of the froth on a proper whiskey sour, mostly for the aroma. I started doing that too, but it's easy to skip.
