A Pellet Fire photo -- This is the Stoven, which is a ring that fits nicely in a 22" Weber Kettle or 22" WSM. It's manual light, H-M-L pellet drop and a very small hopper (biggest down side). Comes with a deflector plate which goes over the fire box. This works fine in a kettle, but I just use the water pan (without water) for the WSM.

The flame makes the meal, regardless of the fuel!

Doing another eye of round roast tonight (dry brined, then BBBR and board sauce), this time using ash wood. I know DWCowles will shudder at this, but since I don't own a weed burner I use half a chimney of charcoal to start my log fires. I find it a good method.

I couldn't resist. More of the same, but fire pictures are like a good drink or a good steak, today's is as good as yesterday's.

Something from a while back. Hot coals in a kettle. They were stoaking the wood for marsh mellow roasting.

Sparks fanning out while pouring the coals.

I've wanted to get a pic of the back end of the chimney when dumping the coals at night, but no one will come outside with me in the cold
