barelfly enchiladas and tacos are some of the most brilliant repurpose for Que! Next would be with eggs. I need to improve my technique maybe try pie format instead of rolling. 🔥🔥🐿️

Leftover Quesobirria "taco" from last night. I did not realize how big these are, they're more a norteno quesadilla than a taco. I did not need two.

if you've ever wondered if a taco will taco, yes, a taco will taco just fine. In fact the corn tortillas made the original taco into a better taco.

For lunch today, simple romaine with some Caesar dressing, sliced brisket, rice and black beans, and farofa. The meat was a little dry, but loaded with flavor. Everything else was very good.

I love leftovers in my house.

Looks delicious, how would you describe the texture of farofa? Is it dry or fluffy like grain? Never even heard of it, thx!! 🔥🔥🐿️

MsTwiggy , farofa has the texture of uncooked corn meal. It adds both crunch and flavor to just about anything. It is like a dry condiment, if that makes sense. I buy Yoki brand on Amazon, since we don't have a Brazilian store anywhere near us. Once in a while we will make it from scratch, with coarse ground cassava being the main ingredient. Check this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farofa

Improv night! 🎤 I had these millet ramen noodles that I got at Costco a while ago. So quick boil and then fried with a “yakitori” sauce (1tbsp ketchup, 3 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/4 c Worcestershire), threw the rest of my Teriyaki chicken breast in with the noodles and finished with Bachans. Then out of the pan to hold and in goes carrots🥕 , shitake mushrooms, cabbage, and mini peppers. . . Braise quickly with sake and throw in frozen herb cubes of garlic 🧄 and ginger 🫚 . Dump noodles and chicken back in the pan and coax everyone together. Family approved of this one 👇🔥🔥🐿️

MsTwiggy I hate chopping garlic and ginger. Definitely getting some of this.

Redux of the pigsket & pulled pork chili beans I made in January, with Rancho Gordo Midnight Blacks added at the end. Yet another of the meals my lovely bride has decreed must always be on hand in the freezer.

Skirt steak tacos were on the menu the other night. Leftover steak on a homemade roll made a tasty sandwich today.
