You know. I never asked. I was at a beer tasting at a friend's house. Two swallows of 30 beers maybe? Then i moved to whiskey. 😁 Mr. Bones.

It’s an English Barleywine, so 8-12% abv by definition. I’ve not had it (though I am familiar with it), but have had other barleywines that are 15+ years old. It’s a special treat, and a testament to whomever saved it for that long.

I have a separate fridge for a beer cellar. Long ago I learned the hard way that you don’t keep cellar beers in with the "common folk." I’ve - personally - kept beer to 10 years old. Currently, my oldest beer is ~7yo.

Nice, that’s good stuff! I discovered that beer when I spent a few days on the Oregon coast a couple years ago. I’ve found it in a couple of stores up here

Elton's BBQ I take you as an intelligent, sophisticated, high society type attending black tie, invitation only events, several times a week. You're not fooling me with that polo shirt, except when you're playing polo. Cheers!

Cool! Back when I was living in Stavanger (working for Schlumberger) we attended many conferences ... the best and most enjoyable of which were usually in Haugesund. A beautiful town with excellent facilities.

unfortunately right now I'm drinking water. However, By four o'clock I will have the smoker going and drinking a nice Chardonnay

Water is good. That's what I'm having but I like it juiced up with lime juice. I drink it all week long. But as the weekend nears...

Knob and where my next cook will come from...

@Elton’s BBQ The book has lots of great recipes although I’ve yet to do one. I’m hoping to do some red snapper or some redfish this weekend and pull recipe or ideas from the book. Cheers!

I’m blessed to live about a half-mile from Stadium Pizza in Wildomar, CA. They make some of the best pizza in SoCal, and brew their own beer. Tonight we picked up pizza for dinner, and grabbed a couple growlers of beer for home. Tonight's beer:

"Flea Flicker" (all of their beers have sports-themed names). An 8.6% Hazy DIPA that looks great, smells great, and tastes delicious.

UPDATE: enjoying one by the pool today.
