I love an Old Fashioned! I’m a bourbon, bitters, sugar cube, orange twist kinda guy. What liquor did you use?

We’re a Wild Turkey family. 101 is our "house" bourbon. Kentucky Spirit and Rare Breed are for special occasions.

This is Knob Creek. Instead of simple syrup I used Steen’s Cane Syrup. Got that idea from our favorite restaurant. The bartender used that and Capone’s favorite rye The Good Stuff. The name escapes me at the moment.

Santamarina, we’ve recently become 101 and Rare Breed fans. Excellent choices, especially Rare Breed.

Y'all have been raving about George Dickel No. 12, well it ain't half bad. To me, there is sweet toasted caremel and some nutmeg. Great flavor, will buy again. Tasting in a low ball glass with 2 cubes.

How’s that stuff? I’m a fan of the company, and have had my cart loaded a few times, but by the time you put in shipping, etc the price gets pretty high and I never pull the trigger (pun intended)...and I’m always disappointed in myself. Need someone to tell me it’s worth it!

After making 10 pounds of soap and (still) babysitting 3 lb of from-scratch pastrami in the smoker, I'm tired. I'm treating myself to a Mad Town Nutbrown Ale from Madison, Wisconsin, and reading AR. Yum!
