DWCowles : Don't know if you can get it where you're at but there's a mix marketed under Larry the Cable Guy's name that is really good. It screams horseradish. It's a Sunday morning staple around here with a stalk of pickled asparagus instead of celery. Cheers.

Figured I’d join in. Rye whiskey barrel aged stout from a local brewery.

Love Stella! Try it out of a chalice style beer glass. It changes the taste somewhow. Just hope Bud doesn't mess with the process now that they own it. Try Pilsner Urquell next.

Yeah, I remember drinking too many of those back in the day. All that ice always made me feel terrible the next day.

The box tastes better than the ingredients though.

Interesting bottle — Tamdhu is not usually marketed as a single-malt. It is typically sold to blenders.

At that strength I can see why it would be blended! 😁

I'm thinking I may go with this one tonight:

You really like the Glenrothes? Man, I couldn't stand it... I am a Balvenie fan, more than anything. This stuff... it was hard to describe. Did not like at all.

Paper wasps. Spotted them down by the river. Came back for the nest the following year. BourBonQ

So I go over to my neighbors last night who is polish. Her son is down for the holidays from school and want to see me. The boy took a liking to my cooking.(so now I have to cook for him today). They are polish. (Heavy accents, whole 9 yards). So I buy him a 18 pack for Christmas (which we ended up drinking pretty fast). As the mom was making dinner (pork chops) he was begging her to let me cook em instead of her. I think she got a lil ticked at him cause he thinks my cooking is better. She has weird taste buds (I reckon I’m just not use to polish foods. (Maybe my tastes buds are off?). However I like to try new things.
While she is cooking she gives me a polish beer to try. They had the funniest time laughing at me cause I keep pronouncing it like something that comes out of a rear end. Oh well.
The taste was, should I say, strange yet interesting. Again I wonder who’s taste buds was mis conbobulated

as I was trying to pronounce it, the boy between laughs was saying that I was saying the polish word for uncle. Apparently zvwiec is a town in Poland which is where this beer is made. I got the last laugh when I noticed it was imported thru Brooklyn ny. He keep saying that it tastes like golden monkey which I have never had.
So now I wake and have something I never get anymore after drinking my beer...a headache. Looks like they get to have the last laugh

Nice family! I’ve not had this beer, although I see it often enough. They used to import a Bock that was pretty good bottled with the Zvwiek label. I haven’t seen that in at least 4-years, though.

After being motivated by DWCowles post I figured a good Sunday morning Bloody Mary was in order. Found I was out of my favorite mix so had to make do with what was on hand since it's too cold to venture out. Recently ordered in some Pappy's Choice seasoning for tri-tips and had read on the label it is also good for Bloody Mary's. What the hey, since it's New Years Eve I can always make avoiding it a part of my resolutions for 2018. 1/2 tspn Pappy's, 3/4 tspn horseradish, 2 tspn worcestershire, 2 shots of the Count, tomato juice. I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I was drinking this last week in the Shenandoah River Valley. Japanese Whiskey. Can't read any of the Japanese on the bottle but my SIL got while on honeymoon with my daughter in Japan. It was smooth and wonderful!

            I'd drink that

          Bulletproof coffee.

If you've never had the chance to try a bulletproof, you should if you like coffee. It's a great recipe.

1 regular cup of strong coffee, plus 1 tsp MCT oil, plus 1 Tbsp of grass fed butter. Blend with stick blender until mixed well and *slightly* foamy. It's incredible, and good for the metabolism. HouseHomey
