i love the story behind the name. If I heard it right, when the lads at Brewdog moved to 24hr brewing in response to demand and created a night shift, the shift coming in in the morning to take over (at about 5am) got into the habit of bringing bacon rolls and coffee for their oppo.
Over time they got the name "5AM Saints" and got the chance to create their own brew of the same name, they chose an American Red Ale, and it's great to boot!

@Danjohnston49 Kansas ain't never been a dry state in my lifetime, though there are some counties, towns etc. where it may still be...was a lot, when I was young, an thirstin fer a drink. That was many decades ago, though
Besides, ya reckon anyplace on Earth that there's a thirsty Hillbilly, it's gonna stay 'dry' fer long?

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
Got to come home for couple of days. After mowing the grass, putting together my grandson’s new basketball goal and picking up tree limbs that has fallen during the winter I decided to give myself a treat.

Mr. Bones They're a relatively new addition to ABC's products. And I gotta say, my wife and I agree they're the perfect rocks glass, in our opinions. Perfect size & weight.
Not drinking right now per se but prepped it to get ready to drink
Bentons bacon fat washed four roses bourbon. 1 oz of rendered bacon fat to 4 oz of bourbon. Let sit at room temp for a few hours before freezing overnight and straining.
Destined for a bacon fat old fashioned. If it turns out as I’ll hope, the rest of the bacon and the rest of the bourbon will soon become another batch of bacon fat washed bourbon
I never would have pictured this...Kirkland (Costco) 7 year bourbon (Tennessee). 103 proof.
Great taste, nice burn. It's going down really nice on a rainy evening...
I believe it. I've seen some very interesting offerings under the Costco brand. I spent some time responding to the Napa/Sonoma fires and now I throw a few bottles of the Kirkland Napa/Sonoma wines in the basket because it feels right (the Carneros offerings are my favorite).
95% of bourbon whiskey comes from Kentucky, but what they won't tell you is that from Maker's to Jim Beam to Wild Turkey, every drop comes from a handful of conglomerate corporate distilleries
