I just stumbled on this when I was reading @smokin fool on SUWYC. I had hoped to meet Bones in person, but that won't happen now. You could tell that AR was important to him, a source of friendship and belonging (as it is for most of us who are active here.) He had shared his YouTube music with me when I told him how much I liked blues, and slide guitar. Unique man. RIP.

I’m shocked and saddened. Godspeed Bonesy, rest in peace, and thank you for your service. I hope you get that LSG retirement present up in heaven, which I assume is back in Texas. I’ll miss you ðŸ™â¤ï¸.

I can not even begin to explain the pure Devastation that I have felt the last few days.
We last spoke on the 11th and our calls were never less than an hour. Played some phone tag besides as was always the case.
Your demons are no longer yours to battle.
Rest In Peace my brother you have earned it.
I already miss you my friend.
Adulting is gonna really suck without you.
Cheers my brother!

Such sad, sad news.
My Pops taught me there are 2 types of people in this world. Those who get up everyday to just be here and those who get up everyday to make a difference. Needless to say Bonesy made a difference . . . . always.
Thank you for your military sacrifice and thank you for bringing warmth to so many. RIP.

As I sit here and continue to reflect on how deep Bonesy made it in to my life, in so many d9fferenrt ways, Now I can look out at my grills, and instantly laugh at some of his "quips" , He didn’t have much love for Weber’s with taco handles. So now, I will also laugh everytime I see a taco handle on my grill. I even prepared my wife last night that another grill search is on, and yes, I will sell one. I remember Bones wanting a 26 glen blue or light blue 26. That is how I initially heard about the taco handle. We were talking about the new one, and that he should just get it, he said he just could not own a taco handle. So now, I need to find an old blue 26 without a taco handle. Im going to call it Bonesy, so I can cook with Bonesy. This will likely take a long time to find, but oh well.
The irony of this post also reminds me 0f a conversation we had on things of popularity, he was pretty dead set on never being popular or following that path, yet, here we gather, for what many of us, clearly from this person that understand, he was not only popular, he set the rudder for a way to achieve it, and a lot of kindness and questions, help others building others. He did not just say it, he lived it and it’s what drew us to him. Well, that and that Harvard hillbilly dialect.Last edited by Richard Chrz; February 27, 2022, 12:44 PM.

bardsleyque. My scincerest of apologies if I offended a proper version of what was proper for his dialect. I was simply implying that he had a Harvard or higher level of not only intelligence and ingenuity, but even more important, emotional intelligence, yet, he found a way to communicate that In a way that made you listen deeper. My intentions were good, my apologies for them coming across wrong.Last edited by Richard Chrz; February 27, 2022, 08:12 PM.
