OK Joe Bronco
Weber Genesis
Ooni Karu
Weber Kettle
My goal is to eventually have at least one of every style of cooker….. I have work to do. Lol!
Thermometers:
ThermoWorks Thermapen MK4
ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE
ThermoWorks Thermopop
ThermoWorks RFX
ThermoWorks IRK-2 Infrared
Maverick XR-50
TempSpike Plus
Other Gear:
Megaforce 3000 Meat Grinder
Weston 7-pound sausage stuffer
Jerky Gun for making poppers. (Game changer!)
Amaz-N-Tube
Original SnS with drip n griddle
Weber Chimney
Fuels Used:
Splits/Chunks, whatever I can get. Usually B&B competition. Favorites are Cherry, Apple, Post Oak, and Hickory.
Pellets, Lumberjack.
Charcoal, whatever is on sale. Currently have a bunch of KBB. Will eventually try B&B. Use whatever lump is on sale in my Ooni.
Propane, Blue Rhino.
Rubs:
Usually make my own riff’s on Memphis Dust and BBBR. Also use Meathead’s commercial rubs and occasionally try something new. I like a couple from Tuffy Stone and Kinder’s. After several surgeries, I’m very sensitive to “spicy” stuff, so I need to be careful about heat levels.
I'd vote for a burger cook. I am one of the few folks here to have eatin he's cooking, and he could kill it on the griddle just out Pittsburg TX back in the day.

I can't even begin to say how every time I see a post come up where Mr. Bones commented that my heart doesn't hurt. I do wish my heart could heal, but it just doesn't seem to be able to heal. RIP Mr. Bones, you are still missed.
What a awful month February can be first with the passing of Dan Johnston and later Terry Morris aka Mr. Bones.
While Terry passed on the 22nd, today the 21st is his birthday.
Happy birthday Mr. Bones. There are ribs on the cooker and beans simmering on the stove in your honor.
You are missed.
Happy Birthday in memoriam to a long lost cousin! Mr. Bones aka Terrance Morris and I often speculated we were long lost cousins, since I have some family tree evidence that some Morris's left eastern Tennessee and headed west to Missouri and Kansas territory at some point in the late 1800's.

I am glad we are commemorating the day he came into this world, not the awful day he left it and us, even though they are but one day apart. I always advocate for remembering the dearly departed on their birthdays, not their death days (except for the first year anniv, those are always major). Celebrate his life.
Mr Bones my brother from another mother. Or father. We never did figure it out. And Dan - I didn't know him as well as Bonsey, but he always entertained

How about this. At 900 pm east giving our west coast members time to be settling in from work we all raise our glass to all our Pitmasters who we memorialize. Finally, share pictures of the glass and yes you too. A virtual toast. I know that it doesn't work for all but who can might want to participate. No matter the concensus, I'm posting.
Well look at that, I had a glass to him at the time and didn't even know it. I never knew him quite as well as many others here but I really miss his wit and always kind words.
