I guess I am a bit confused. How does being a "Active" member lower your chances of winning? If there are 10,700 entries for April don't I have a 1 in 10,700 chance just like everyone else?

Sorry if this has already been answered but it just doesn't make sense. So it is bothers my OCD side. (The same OCD side that has me spending 30 minutes arranging my wood in briquets in my SnS. :P)

It doesn't- it's just a theoretical discussion on odds. There are many more who are not active members. The odds are the same for each member whether you're in the 'active' or 'never will be active' category. It's simply a point of discussion that we really need to move past.

I guess it is one of those things since only a handful of members post it seems like the chances of being "active" and winning are mutually exclusive. But what does Meathead say on things like this???

What it boils down to is The Pit is one benefit of the Pitmaster Club. Folks can be active or not. It doesn't affect their entitlement to the other club benefits.

You didn't at all, so no worries my friend! We love having you check in and show off, keep it up! The subject of active members winning/not winning gets brought up by others quite frequently, and when it does it makes people wonder. It's all odds, nothing more nothing less.
