Yes, a relief that I won't have to explain how another cooker has made it's way onto my deck. But...only about 2 weeks before the next announcement now! Right about the time Meathead's book shows up on my doorstep...
I was tempted to upgrade my Traeger Lil Tex Elite (which I roasted a very tasty chicken for dinner) to the Camp Chef Pellet Grill and Smoker, but I have fancied one of the "Egg's" for some time. I've had tremendous luck with everything I've tried on my Traeger.
I have a Joe Namath Rapid Cooker with the overhead ceramic infrared sitting next to the Traeger when I need intense high heat for (pre or post) searing. I also have a weber kettle, which I learned to cook a beautiful roast port with the fat and skin on it to make fantastic crackling when I lived in the Western Australia outback (problem is i can't seem to buy pork with the skin still on it here in Houston). I'm sure there is a gas grill somewhere in the garage, but I prefer to cook over wood or charcoal. When I lived in Algeria the only fuel I could get was the charred wood variety, but when I put it in my almost 200 lb home made stainless steel grill (one of the welders at the job site welded it together for me.)
I'm looking forward to see what I can do on the BKK.
