Even though I said I was taking a break from acquiring new cast iron. I am in the hunt today. Two large estate sales are calling my name! Hopefully I can find a few gems.

Bout 7 7/8" dia., fwiw Mudkat
big enough to handle some Iron

CI lodge wok, center part sanded smooth. Most folks disparage heavy CI wok, but indoors with and underpowered burner, you can load it up with energy and work in batches and turns out some good stuff.

Outdoors the thin carbon steel over a mega burner is better, but the CI is nice to have for certain situations.

I love my cast iron woks. I like them better than my carbon steel.

The 15” skillet. Largest one I’ve seen with a pot type handle. Probably the largest one I can drive on the stovetop as well.

It’s only one handed when completely empty and depends on the arm the hand is connected to.

Hey Spin, whatya think of the Stargazer. It’s on our stove for ever. Even my wife loves it now that she got used to the handle, small hands ya know. I like it cuz I can pick it up "from above", top handed and let the handle nudge into my wrist/forearm. I don’t know if you mentioned using it. This thread has really gotten some mileage.

I love the Field too. It is a great, light weight skillet. I use them both. But my Finex sets still get the most work.

Just got the notice today.......my 12" Stargazer has shipped! Stay tuned for an unboxing!

BTW.......I just threw down on a duel-handle Marquette Casting pan. No. 13! I don't have any No. 13's in my collection.

Although, some of their pans are made in China, these duel handle pans are made in Michigan, USA!
