"Mr. Bones, These Bones Are For You" A Memorial Cook- March 19th, 2022

Mr. Bones…..These Bones are for you!

There is no question that Mr. Bones was a valued member of our community here at Amazingribs.com. To honor him, we would like to invite everyone to do a memorial cook in his honor.

This past holiday season, Mr. Bones was kind enough to gift Steve B some awesome beef ribs from Creekstone Farms. However, because we all know life gets in the way, Steve B never had the chance to cook them before Mr. Bones passed. Steve B and I got to thinking……. it would be a fitting tribute to have a day in the Pitmaster Club where we all cook up some bones. Please join us for a "These Bones Are For You" memorial cook on Saturday March 19^th 2022.

Feel free to post your prep, cook and/or a few thoughts to this thread on March 19^th, 2022. We all know how much Mr. Bones loved seeing everyone’s cooking set ups, results and our time spent enjoying the fruits of our labor of love.

When: Saturday March 19^th, All Day. (We chose the March 19^th to give people some time to plan ahead and find some ribs to smoke up. You can cook before the 19^th, but please refrain from posting your cook until the event on March 19^th.)

Where?: In your backyard, patio, shop, farm or where ever you love to cook! Post pictures and thoughts to this thread. (I will create a new thread to post the cook pictures too)

What is on the menu ?: Ribs of any kind. Beef, Pork, Lamb, Mutton, Venison…..you name it.

I hope everyone can make this a special day to honor a true friend and a legend of The Pitmaster Club. I know Mr. Bones would have loved to see all of us getting together to cook up some rib bones!

the 19th is a travel day for me (off to see the granddaughter, daughter etc.) I'll make sure to do some ribs on the 20th. I'll be away from my smokers but will make do. Can't pass on the chance to cook some bones for Mr. Bones

I’m in. Got my eye on a slab in the freezer that is gorgeous and I’ve been holding back for a special occasion. This celebration of a great person is that occasion.

I am down for this! By then I should have graduated from the post-surgery limitations, and I am totally holding in the rib department: 4 racks of spares, one of baby backs, two of chuck ribs, and a big ol' short plate. Now I gotta decide which to make...
