Uprights on the welding cart. Angle iron soon and the casters. Maybe by tomorrow I'll have both welders on this dude.

On a side note, how do you get a 17 3/16" section of angle iron instead of 18 3/16"? Measure once.

      Lol cut twice?

So my sorry 17 3/16" piece (left) will do in this spot. I still have more square tubing to install under this angle frame.

Yeah, my 20% duty cycle tells me the same thing. Hopefully by Sunday I'll have 40% worth on the cart.

Casters are connected. This baby is sooo nice compared to foo-foo that barely gets over pepples and twigs. And this gem will actually have a handle to pull her along.

Tomorrow I'm transferring my stuff to this cart. If Tractor Supply got some angle iron I could maybe get the drawer installed.

Area 1. I have three sides of angle iron installed. The back side that butts up (haha) against Area W will likely get a little wall just to keep stuff from sliding too far. I just need it deep enough for the 2 hand grinders, with a drawer for little things (small gloves, square, etc) directly above. 14 gauge plate for a floor.

Area 2. Chop saw location. Should be low enough to have at least 2" square tubing slide just under Area 3. I'll have some crossbars level with the chop saw table. 14 gauge plate for floor.

Area 3. Both welders. One more set of angle iron ready for installation, and one more of those and 2 sets of square tubing and BAM!

Area W. Welding helmet, welding gloves, MIG Pliers. 14 gauge plate for floor.

        Just curious...

You have 3 areas designated with numbers and one with a letter...

Looks good though. Coming right along. I'm enjoying the ride...

What year model?? We got 8-12" in 2010. I think all but one state had snow that day or two in Feb.

Woohooo!!! Welders are on the cart. Still waiting on the gun for the 140. Should be here by the weekend, as well as the chop saw. Next weekend I can finish my smoker legs and get my floors on the cart.

All framed up and ready for some red machines. Lateral movement is about 1/4" within the angle iron, essentially the welder can't move enough to go off one end of the angle iron.

Custom, and I mean CUSTOM, Allen wrench holders, you know, them Allen wrenches you just can't seem to grab with gloves when they are laying flat on a freaking shelf...

You can’t go wrong with Lincoln welders. You see a few others out on a pipeline, but 95% are Lincoln. You’re going to be amazed at what you can build. First building this nice cart, then the smoker, next you’ll be building a trailer or a deer blind. The possibilities are endless. You’ll find time spent locating a good reasonable source of metal will make more projects possible.

That and they more closely resemble CaseIH than anything else.

Finally got back to my smoker legs. Three are complete as far as welding. I'll cut the last one tomorrow or Wednesday and have them babies tacked on before the weekend.

Whew, last 45 on the 2" square tubing has been cut, for now. Once the smoker is complete I'll see if I'll link the legs together and endure some more 45's. I have a straight cut on the 2" and that's all the cutting on 2".

Had to wait and see how the guns wrapped around before attaching yet another fully custom accessory. This is strictly for storage, shorter versions will eventually get attached to my table. And yes, that was a spare piece that was cut just enough to get a somewhat flush fit at the top of the angle iron.

Necessary wood work. 45 degree Miter for ramps for the welding cart. Used the Makita LC1230 to cut my last leg section, that little dude is awesome!! Can't wait to cut all the other metal with it. Hopefully I can get that last leg welded tonight and get them tacked on to the bottom of the base. 12hr shift tomorrow so Saturday will be the next welding day.

I need 4 clamps like this, but larger, to get these seated correctly and ready for a more permanent attachment.
