Finishing decoration. Got hours of optional grinding to pretty her up, which will slowly take a month or so.

I think she's BEE-EEE-AAYY-YOOO-TEE-FUL as she is! Lord knows none of my projects are gonna win any beauty contests or design awards! In my family thoos things are the purview of my wife and my son, respectively. I'm just the guy who cooks the meat for the get-together in the background. I'm pretty good with that.

Jerod Broussard Nice! Looks great. I still expect more modifications to occur... My workshop's workbenches get modified all the time. But its all wood so a little different on what I need to do.

Loaded up to be blasted and painted later this week.

Took the truck, 3 ratchet straps, 2 cam straps, 2 safety chains, and 1 lunatic to get it up there.

Dude... you crazy moving that beast. Personally, I'd have just coated with oil or rattlecanned it. That's a major operation moving that thing. Call the Army Corps of Engineers.

realdocBBQ I'm trying to figure out what is safer coming off the trailer, swivels in the front or the back.

That square tubing laying ontop didn't fall off.

realdocBBQ I was telling a guy at church about this today and he told me he has a crane on his truck so he would come over and get it off the trailer.

This will be my next smoker......
After the PBC gives out .... And IF I can buy enough beer to get my brother to weld it.

But the PBC has a good long while left, now that I've replaced the bottom with 1/4 inch steel.

Yeah, that bottom is good for a generation or so.

BFlynn I would like to put a 1/4” steel in the bottom of mine. Where do you find that?

Blasted, some kind of acid treatment, sanded, flat matte high temp black.

The heat index was 118 yesterday so large amounts of Reducer was being used so the paint wouldn't dry before it hit the metal.

Guy couldn't make it with his crane so off to the sketch races.

I reinforced the ramps and thought I could slowly let her ride down. No go. Back left tire kept coming off the trailer aka wanting to tip over.

Had just enough room to pull under the car port and pull it off the trailer.

Almost back in the exact spot she was in last weekend. Just needs a little tug from the east side.

You’re a man I relate to Jerod. Your other grills are filthy. Just like mine!! I figure it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Smoke on brother!! 🙄🤣😂

      Stainless Grates!!!

9 gauge, so thick enough for me to stick weld to the 14 gauge square tubing. I stick weld all my stainless since I do so little of it.

Got a big butt cook in April.

I can hang at the very top and use my grates on the lower two levels.
