Man, what an amazing build! You are rolling along, brother! I am learning so much from watching you, this is a meticulous masterpiece and work of art. I feel like I am just slapping lipstick on a pig at the county fair next to you, lol.
Seriously, I admire the dedication, planning and really really detailed job you're doing, and the equally detailed and comprehensive documentation of the build. You're working inside a welding tent or something, right? Sometimes I have a hard time visualizing what I'm seeing due to the nature and angle of the pics, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole thing out in the open in natural light, and then actually working BACKWARDS from there, or taking the end pics and seeing them side by side with all the internal and small details so I can grasp all the context.
Either way, dude, this has been an epic journey for you (and us!) and I know you've got to be excited to get that baby FIRED. UP!!!
I'm glad I put those leg supports. I moved it out the welding booth into it's smoking location under the car port and had to give a few tugs with the truck.
Bout to do the last welds on the latches and that's pretty much it. There will be slight tightening as the gaskets compress. May insulate the roof later, but that's way down the road. Just like clamps, you never have too many welding gloves.

Officially ready to cook on. I have some brushing and grinding on the outside to pretty her up, but that can come later. Got all material needed to build 4 racks.
Latches have a safety lever you must release to open. I need to get this thing on a trailer, that'll put the door right at my height, 6'0".
Jerod Broussard X Ray and welder tests were a huge part of the business I was in for the last 20 years of my working life. It wouldn’t take too much instruction and you could weld ASME-B 31-3 or API-1104 code piping. There’s no magic involved, just some good instruction and some practice.
Wow. You made it! Well done Pitmaster. I work with wood but I’m sure you feel the same things I feel when I complete a project. Pride, relief, amazement, and others. Now get to cooking! 😊👍👏👌
