Mr. Bones I actually kept an empty bottle as to let the wife know what my favorites are . Aged in whiskey barrels and mine was at 12.3% ABV. They range by about 1% difference between bottles sometimes

what'd you try Bones? my affinity for bourbon beers is what got me started down the path of trying to like bourbon (figured I liked the beer, so the real McCoy had to also be tasty). interesting to see you taking the opposite path.

Having a Cab Franc from a SoCal winery...one of the oldest in the state as I understand it.
Pretty tasty... Click image for larger version

Best Crown IMO is the Xtra Rare, but is expensive at $99 for a 750ml

I guess I did get a bit of a buzz after two beers....
            Anyway, more research needed

Reading the news and my daughter is featured in the story.. It's regarding The Tall Ships Races wich she attended.. Sailed from Denmark to Norway alongside some of the largest sailships in the world..

Neat, tall ships were in Toronto two weeks ago doing a tour around the Great Lakes.
Huge crowds showed up, apparently you couldn't get near them they're so popular.

According to the story, Nearest Green was the slave that taught Jack Daniel how to make whiskey.

Not bad...in fact, I like it better than Jack Daniel's...

This morning. I've had a helluva week...

However, we started on it last night at the neighborhood happy hour, so the half empty bottle is not entirely my fault. I just remembered to stumble home with the leftovers...

No judgment here… As a wise man once told me, you can’t drink all day long unless you start first thing in the morning .

Summer time is shandy time (well, that is the normal time for shandies - I never lost the taste for them since last summer - ha!). These two make a nice combo! Cheers y'all!
