I was gonna say the one with my kids. The one I SHARE with my kids, not a pizza made from my kids just to be clear.

OK - Sappy BUT so true. Pizza joints evoke many memories of gatherings with friends, primarily from my youth. Now that I consider myself an old dude, youth means anything earlier than 40. Good job pointing this out.

The perfect pizza is one I don’t have to order, pick up, pay for, or make. Some times it’s nice to not have to "do" and just enjoy.

I do not make my own pizza so I have to go commercial with my response: Local pizza shop Ian's Pizza makes a Mac and Cheese pizza that is unique and really tasty. Also, Papa Murphy's take and bake 5 meat stuffed pizza is a game changer for me. The absolute best pizza I have ever had was from a former regional parlor called Eduardo's and it was unbelievable pesto, spicy Italian sausage and cheese, double crust stuffed pizza. I swear a large pizza weighed over 5 pounds and probably shortened my life everytime I ate a slice; but, it was worth every bite! I miss Eduardo's.

The only and last time I had that Mac and Cheese pizza was probably 15ish years ago on state street… closer to bar closing than opening if you catch my drift. I would have to go back to let you know if it’s any good. 😆

The pizza I make for myself at home and what I generally order when I buy pizza is a margherita or a variation of it or a grandma's pie. Simple.

Brush a little olive oil on the dough after shaping, slice some garlic, sliced San Marzano tomatoes, slices of fresh mozzarella, shred some (a little) parmesan and locatelli, cook it up, put a few basil leaves on it when it comes out of the oven/grill and it's good to go.

My favorite all time bought pizza was called "sweep the kitchen" it was at Godfather's Pizza (Alexandria ,LA ) in the early 80's. haven't had such a wonderful pizza since I moved. It had everything on it and nice crust too . You name it , it was on it. Mmmm Mmm Mmm !

Clams casino pizza. You would think cheese and clams wouldn’t go but it’s insane. Diced clams cooked in the bacon you’ve crisped up with diced onions. Salt/pepper to taste and mozzarella on top.

That's known as tomato pie around me.
Not completely without cheese as they put a thin sprinkle of fine grated parmesan under the sauce...

Richard, you have officially defined the absolute minimum requirements for something to be called a "pizza"!

Flour water salt, natural leavened with hand crushed San marzano’s and some really tasty oregano.
When there is only two elements, they both have to shine equally and parallel to each other,
Finster a welcoming topping for sure,

I do love a good taco supreme though.

                no doubt about it .....

                thin crust
                red sauce
                cheese
                pepperoni
                black olives
                uncooked, diced tomatoes

sprinkle some parmesan and red pepper flakes on as you serve it.

Imported Italian pizza sauce, soppressata, bacon marmalade, habanero honey, smoked brisket, and mozzarella . Yum. Always a crowd pleaser.

inspired by an off menu, occasional pie at Cane Rosso in Ft. Worth.

Pepperoni and onion New York style is our go to.
anchovies is the only no go. (actually any seafood) A few other things I'm not crazy about, but will deal with it if someone else is eating.
Worked in a pizza place during H.S.
Ive tried some odd things. Chopped up hot dogs. Turkey lunch meat. Cauliflower. Kale. Beets.
I did try the Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple). Wasn't terrible, but once was enough...lol
Didn't sell many of those in the time that I worked there

I also love a good white pizza now and again.
olive oil, a ton of garlic, and mozzarella. Toppings optional 😋
