I've noticed that people can be very narrow-minded on many opinion-related topics such as music and politics, it even sneaks over into food with things like chili (don't you DARE tell someone you like x and y in your chilli!) But no one seems to be that defensive and protective of pizza. Maybe some do with the crust (Chicago vs Detroit comes to mind). But not the toppings- that's what I'm speaking of here.
Is it because pizza happens to be the one item that we universally understand is open to personal preference and it remains judgement-free because as long as you enjoy pizza no one cares what you put on yours? I find it worth thinking about. If only everything else were like pizza, truly a "you do you and that's ok" thing. Think of the arguments that would be avoided in other areas of life if it were all treated like pizza.
That said, what your favorite pizza? THE ONE pizza you would make/order if tonight's pizza were to be your last.
