I hit up a new BBQ joint in Minneapolis. (Animales BBQ) This is the best Que I have found in the city. The guy runs Southern Pride and Lang smokers. Ribs, Hot Guts, Pork Belly and sweet pickled jalapeños with kimchi were on the menu. This was a bomb lunch! Any one in the Minneapolis area, or any one visiting should check it out. It is parked right out side of Able Brewing, so you can eat inside the brewery or outside on the patio.

We haven't eaten yet. We are going to Kensington Metro park with my side of the family to celebrate Mother's Day for my mom.

We will be having a picnic lunch. Brats and chicken strips on the Jumbo Joe and I'll sauté peppers and onions.

Late lunch or early supper. Lupper or sunch, depending on my sense of humor at the time.

Big chef's salad with lots 'o veggies. Topped with trimmings of pork tenderloin and beef ribeye left over from yesterday's cook. The meat bits were powdered with big bad beef rub and pepper, anointed with olive oil, and then lightly sauteed on the Weber gasser.

Photographed in the kitchen, but eaten outside on our second story deck that overlooks our beautiful valley. I didn't stay outside for very long. It's cold, gray, and damp today.

Didn't get a chance for pics, but went to "Little Spain," a new market in the mold of Eataly in NYC. Got a great salad with ham and gazpacho.

          Troutman, yer killin me....
My lunch is usually a stale white bread peanut butter samage over the steering wheel of my rig.
Always look forward to my yearly trip to DFW for a Pitathon.
Only on place that does a half decent brisket in Southern Ontario, Memphis Fire in Winona.
Original owners did it right, new owners are good but not as good as the originals.
Sadly my runs that way are few and far between.

Well like many, if not most of you all, barbecue is my passion. Seeking out bbq in Texas is like a religious trek to Mecca many times over. Now having said that, my second culinary passion happens to be from my neighboring state, Louisiana with their Cajun/Creole fair. Love me some Coonass food !!!!

Today's lunch found me at my favorite Cajun restaurant called BBs Tex-Orleans. Although they have a variety of New Orleans inspired dishes with a Texas twist, they are famous for their PoBoy Sandwiches. Most of the recipes are originals from the founders grandmother, fondly known as Maw-Maw. From the Leidenheimer bread (if your from NO you get that!!) to the freshest seafood, I literally find that I can't even eat a whole one they're so huge.

Had the Maw-Maw's Surf and Turf PoBoy for lunch. As always could only eat half, this half goes home for later....

Stayed at home. Finished off my beef ribs by slicing it off the bone. A quick reheat. Horseradish brown mustard, pepper jack cheese, some quick pickled red onions I made yesterday. Side of some cabbage with a bit of seasoning on it and some kraut.
